  1. Well I just pulled the head on the endt-673 in my 64 B613 to fix a small oil leak. I found no hone marks left in the cylinders, and a small ring groove at the top of the cylinder. The motor ran fine and started easy but had very low oil pressure when hot like 20psi WOT and 5psi at idle. When cold it would have about 45psi at 1800rpm. I thought my oil pressure was low because the oil pressure line was plumbed to the oil inlet of the turbo, but the worn hone marks and low pressure make me think I should rebuild the motor while I have the fenders and cab off. Any advice or recommendations.

    Thanks

  2. I am doing a frame off restoration of my B613-LT, while everything was apart I wanted to switch from my non overdrive duplex to a triplex which I have found locally, but the triplex has an ear broken off of the main case where it bolts to the flywheel housing. I was wondering if there would be any problem with putting the triplex compound box on my duplex main box, they should be the same main box right?

    Thanks Jase

  3. I have a small oil seep from the back head gasket on my ENDT-673, I retorqued the head using the torque specs for an E6 that my mack dealer had given me, but the sequence showed 20 studs, where as my thermodyne has 18 studs. The E6 also calls for 185ft/lbs on the studs, is this also correct for the ENDT-673.

    Thanks

  4. I have looked at a few B model tractors, and they all have a wiring panel of some sort behind the cab on the drivers side. The wires come from the cab, go to the panel and then go to the trailer wiring and truck tail lights. Is this some sort of fuse panel and what is it called and where would you get one, thanks.

  5. I have a chance to buy a B613 Mack. It is a single axle, double framed, tractor with a duplex, It has a low mile 237 that was new when installed by a mack dealer, they also installed front brakes. The truck runs and drives good but has some rust on the cowl by the wind shield and at the edges of the floor board and some rust on the door skin. Everything works in the truck but the wiring could stand to be cleaned up, is $6500 a decent price.
