  1. BIG!!  I've designed some smaller versions of a gantry crane like that.  The one I remember most was used for moving bundles of rebar at a place that manufactured it.  That is one big crane.

    Cool.

I haven't been on here much lately either. I moved shortly after I bought the truck. I started tearing into it pretty good at first but it's been put on the back burner at the moment while I get the new place straightened away. New place has a barn and both B's are sitting side by side waiting for me to get back to them. The truck is pretty solid. Floors have a few issues but aren't terrible. Plan is to make it mechanically sound but keep it mostly original otherwise.

I assume you can no longer buy the kind of tires that are on that 815 now...maybe I'm wrong (let me know!!!!).  I love those!  They are cool.  Some of the Mack books on the old trucks show factory photos with them.  Cool stuff.

Great plan.  It's worth preserving it like it is.  If mine was that straight I'd do the same.  Cool.  Keep us posted.  I hope to get a place of my own where I can work on mine more regularly as well as get it inside.

    Thanks again for sharing.

  4. Too bad about the shed and tools.  That sucks.  I should probably look at my policy and see if my stuff is covered too.  I buy Craftsman stuff for the guarantee.  I've never been turned away on it yet.  Me and the manager will be having a heated discussion the day that does happen.

    Nice looking ladies!!

  5. Prostate cancer hits close to home for me.  Dad came up with it when he was about 56.  He has high blood pressure (as do I) and the doc ran the PSA test on him for good measure as part of an annual check up to make sure he was managing the blood pressure and such.  It was caught early and he beat it thankfully.  I've been getting an annual physical since I was 40 that include a PSA test and the other part I really hate but...If you are over 50, get a physical every year and have it checked.  If your dad or uncle has had it, start at 40.  It is detectable and curable, but you need to look for it.  As with Hatcity, it may never give you symptoms until its started to move around.

I am praying for Hatcity now and I also pray that any of you old farts out there that don't manage your own health, start to do so.  We need to spread the word to our friends and family to help each other out.  God bless you all and especially Hatcity.
