I drive a 2006 Mack Granite CV713 Quint axel dump. It has an AI375A engine with Allison Auto. I knew when I bought it that the auto would not get the mileage that a manual would get but I didn't realize 4.5 to 4.75 was going to be my fuel economy. If I am standing on it all day I would expect those numbers; but I have made an effort to try and lower my speeds to increase the economy with no sign of improvement. A friends mechanic recommends a new set of injectors that will increase the fuel economy as well as performance.I guess my question is will this work? Has anyone else experienced this?
