I am 32 as well. Growing up in Northeastern Nevada I was never exposed to Macks. My dads highschool buddy has a trucking company and he always ran KW's. I have loved the look of the 359 and 379 since I was about 4 years old. I had always heard of Macks, I just never saw them, other than toys. I started looking at the B73 I now own about 8 years ago. When I first saw it I was hooked on the B's. Since then I have grown to love the L's, R's, and Superliner to name a few. I am doing my part to keep Macks going even after a late start.

yes it is,'79 WS786LST.
I believe I see an L in the background as well! In all my travels around this side of the country I've only seen a tenth of what you have in your collection.

I called them a month a go they said it would be a little while they were backed up and doing some moving around, I am not going to complain the last time I got an owners manual, brochure, line sheet and some deler and shipping info.
I emailed my info about a week ago. They told me it would most likely be 8 weeks. I can't complain, it would take me a lifetime to find half the info they will provide.

I love it, keep the progrees pics coming. They are great motivation to get my butt in gear. At first glance it appears your frame is magically floating in mid air!!!!

Welcome, What part of the country are you from?

I like th emower set up on the A. I wish we had the show selection here in the West that you have in the Midwest and East. We have a classic car show next week, but the biggest thing there is an early 70's 3/4 ton Ford. My goal is to have the B73 in "Project" form for next years show.

As were B77's
Geee whiz....Boy Oh Boy that is rare!!!!
News flash!! Dateline Earth:
All B73's were Cummins powered!
Sounds like this buyer got a "story" from the previous owner.
Craigslist can be entertaining!

I do remember seeing it before. Looking at the additional ebay pics it definately looks like a nice truck, just not a 15k+ truck to me.

I didn't know the B73 was a rare truck. I like it, but don't think I would pay that much for it.

I grew up on Deere controls. The newer Cats have a switch to change from Cat to Deere. Every once in a while I'll switch to Cat style just to shake all the rocks of the frame. Man they are bass ackwards after running a Deere. I can run the case four stick with footswing a hell of a lot quicker than the Cat setup. Good luck with the cab. I've spent the last four months getting the 12v starter switched in for the 24v. I wish I was moving even 1/10th the speed you are!

It took me two times, but it opened.

I'm sure I'll get slaughtered for saying this, but I have loved the look of the 359 and 379 Petes since I was about 3 years old. I was never exposed to many of the classic Macks until later in life. I think the reason I like that LTL is it mixes the old mack look with the Pete look. Ok, now let the lashing begin!

Welcome to the site. Its a learning process for most of us. What model of B is it?
-
I think its an L of some kind. I love the look of a B7 whatever with an L cab, but I might like that model of L just as much.
-
The cab is so lopsided on it that it must be a double U W model!

Glad you saved it from the exporter, I'm sure someone in "The States" is willing to spend the time to make it a respectable rig!
-
Ha ha, thats cool. But that show is annoying.
Are you kidding me??? That show is grrrrreat!

KidNV,
I would still like to take a peek at the B73. If I could find a cheap ride across the state for it I might be able to swing 1500. My B73 is complete but could use someparts in better condition. I'll send you a PM with some contact info.

How far south of Carson City is everything? I am coming to South Tahoe with the wife tomorrow. I was planning on coming back down to Carson Monday to visit a friend while the wife is at her conferance. I could use some pieces of the B73.

My point was, after you start spending all that money you will start expecting some return on investment.I know what it is, but, never thought about that when it comes to a Mack.

Another option is a product called Belzona. It is an industrial strength JB weld type product. I had a 3/8 by 4" slot in the side of my t case in my pick up that I patched with it and so far I have no leaks.

Haven't you ever noticed that most U pics are of the passenger side, hiding the kickstand and 12 large leaning men holding it upright!
