I wish you did too maddog. I know you would respect the history of these old machines..

OK, I have been talking with several guys and I have decided to offer this truck and lowboy for what I have invested. The tractor has new tires (22.5 tubeless) and the lowboy has a new floor, new brakes, all new clearance & brake/turn lights along with new wiring all the way to the plug. Lowboy has 4 good tires (20's). Also has a new "kingpin". I have invested a total of $17,400. I will let it go for $16,000. If I can't get at least that I will just hope maybe my grandson will want it one day.

I have used this rig for years hauling tractors to shows. There are no issues with this truck or lowboy. Truck has all new tires with maybe 200 miles on them. As far as how much, I will entertain a reasonable offer but please I don't want to be lowballed. Some of you that have restored these old trucks just input your opinion as to what you think it is worth. I know it's hard to judge with out looking or driving. A good driver can "float" gears in this truck with no problem. With all the machinery I have here on the farm, this old boy cranks better than anything I have with an engine, in cold or hot weather. Truck will top out at about 62-65 miles an hour loaded or empty. Truck actually shifts better and rides better with my "cat 941" loaded on it. Anyone that wishes to call is welcome to.

Are you referring to the JD840? If so it has been sold. If you are referring to the Mack "road tractor" I would like to sell truck and lowboy together.

Thanks Maddog.

Hey guys,
I hoped I would never have to do this but, due to some health issues I am being forced to sell my 1960 B613T Mack and lowboy. I have had it for about 5 years after trying to locate a good one for about 10 years. This truck is in very good condition. It has new 22.5 tires with about 200 miles on them. The truck has power steering and every guage and light works. Has a mack 676 engine with triplex trans. Most of you guys know about what the value would be so, please give me some good honest numbers which is all I could ask. You can look at my profile at "Wiley Farm" to see several photos. I wish I had some family that would be interested in the hobby but, not so.
Thanks, Dale..

I don't think I want to restore another one GreenGiant2. Lots of work and lots of dollars to restore! If yours has a Handcock pan on it, must be an early model.

This unit was used to pull 2 drum Waco sheepfoot. These units were also used to pull Handcock or JD400 scrapers which was 7 1/2 yards.
Thanks, Dale..

I want to purchase a 1957 Caterpillar D4 I found in North Carolina when I sell the Komatsu. I just want an old cat to show with my B61. Come on guys, get rid of some of that stingy money!

Hey Brian,
No, I willnot be able to. Are you going? I have a truck/tractor show this saturday in Watkinsville, Ga. It is call "touch-a-truck". We have all types of "rigs" at this show. We have construction equiptment, long haulers, local haulers, logging rigs etc. Caterpillar, from what I have been told, is going to bring some of their big off road dumps and crawlers there. Caterpillar has just started on a new plant in Athens, Ga. which is suppose to employee about 1400 folks, which is good for this area. I will take some photos and post them if there is anything I thing yall would like to see. Is that a 3 or 4 bottom your pulling?

Hey Porch Pup,
I grew up using the 720 diesels with a mounted cotton picker which was driven in reverse. Where are you located? If you are ever in this area come for a visit. The parade in the photo in 2008 was on RFTV and we had 209 tractors.

Deere had a lot of mad customers in 1962 when they stoped building 2 cylinders. Customers changed their minds when they operated the "new generation" tractors for a time. Lots of old timers around here would not change over until the old 2 cylinders wore out. Can't get but so much horse power out of 2 pistons. I have farmed with a lot of deere's in my life and I feel there has never been a better tractor built than the 1969-1972 JD 4020. I can remember runing a #2 or #22 cotton picker mounted on a JD 720 diesel. You only had one ground speed (reverse!)

I have a 1986 Komatsu D57S track loader for sale. Runs great and starts good. Pins/bushings are about 50%, never turned, bottom is about 50%, Sprokets and idlers are 75%. Has komatsu 4 cylinder 130hp engine. Weighs abo 35,000#. I have used this loader on my farm for about 12 years. I have only put 400-500 hrs on it. Just don't need it any more. It has a total of 7200 hrs. The only thing that needs attention is the bucket cylinders need to be repacked. It can be run as is but uses about 5 gal fluid in a 8-10 hr hard day. I was going to ask about $12,000 for it. Uses no oil. Steers exc.

No, I would put his name on here for you but not sure he would want me to. He owns a construction company and farms "row-crops". He suppose to come today to pick it up so I will check, if its ok to tell everyone who purchased it.
