  1. I am going to give it a shot myself first, if I cant get it by Monday Ill call mack, dont have a lot of faith in them after having my truck up there a couple of times for different issues. Just was wanting, what I need to advance it to. I do have a very talented mech helping when needed. And I am sure we can do this.
  2. ok, after reading enough, figured out I put in the pump TDC not advanced, I looked at the valve covers but nothing readable there, Does anyone no what the advance on motor should be set to?
  3. I have a 93 mack ch613 350 e6 no electronics, put a new injection pump on today. when pulled old pump, there is no key way in the gear, put in pump on tdc 1. but is out of time when crank motor just a lot of white smoke. how do I time the pump to the motor? bosch inline 6 pump
  4. You are correct then it is a E6, interested in the differences between an E6 and a E7
  5. would post a pic but cant figure out how, there is one on this site that was for sale that looks identical but numbers a little different, the post title is "Mack/Bosch Mechanical Injection Pump" A unrelated question, I've been told that my truck is an E7 350, When I ordered my pump it listed it for an E6.. How would I be able to tell the difference,. VIN won't help glider
  6. Replaced Cam about 2 years ago, checked valve lash, Started with a miss and finally got it narrowed down to the pump, never changed one, and have read they need timed when put in, ordered one will be here in the morning. yea I agee would hate to find out it is something else, 1900.00 for the pump with overnight shipping.
  7. cracked the lines loose wasn't getting much squirt out of 2 did not change motor sound either, replaced injectors, and lines from pump already.
  8. I have a 93 mack ch 613 350 motor, injection pump is not putting out good pressure on #2 cyl, found one and going to replace pump,. it is a mechanical pump and haven't pulled old one yet. wondering what is the best way to time, the pump? Can I pull the old one and set the gears in same position?
  9. I took it back one time but he does not want to admit any error on his part and I am not blaming him as of yet, but feel I was over charged was orginally told 950 for parts then he billed me 1700 and another 18 for labor, when I took it back to him he said low boost on intake and started to want to replace parts not diagonase problem, since then rented my shop to a very expericend mech and have been working with him in trying to figure it out. just tired of sinking more and more money on a problem that should not exist in the first place. I love my mack it is easy to work on and pulls everything I hook it up to, would more than willing to get a shop manual but it is a slider chassis and no body can order or get parts with out having the number from the part, mack dealer is complete loss when I go in there. air line to intake has been replaced not sure what you mean by a p7100 or 8600 pump?
  10. I had a cam put in my 93 ch613 350 mack motor no electronics "thank god" when I got my truck back it had less power than it had with a worn lobe on the cam, no noise out the exhaust to indicate head damage, all fuel lines from tank forward replaced, removed air charge cooler checked for leaks and had cleaned out. has next to no boost on intake manifold but when removing the cooler hose from intake feels like it will blow your hand away, on intake side good suction, I have talked with a couple of people but now want to through this question at the gurus. I am left with wrong cam put in, cam put in a tooth off or fuel pump out of time, thank you all for your help and have enjoyed reading through most of the pages on this forum
