My wife and I have move to a much nicer part of town, consequently I can't have any of my crap in the driveway. And If I do want to work on any of my trucks... they have to fit into our 1.5 car garage. Just to keep the neighbors happy.

So I have started to selling off many of my unfinished projects. And plus... sometimes your interests change and your priorities change.

    Trent

I don't think those are OFF TOPIC at all. Politics is off topic.

Sharp looking trucks Trent. They look great.

Nice work man. I bet you'll have no problem at all selling them.

  4. I didn't know they had Casey's that far up there in Yankee Liberal land. Gambi your far from a Liberal!

I voted Liberal in our last Provincial election

Am I going to get my BMT membership revoked ?

For me ?? It depends on the situation whether I would take the money

or merchandise and leave. In most cases I would work with the attendant as Rowdy did.

  5. Just remember, you ain't driving a truck PULLING a trailer...you are driving the trailer, and the truck is just the steering mechanism. :thumb:

What an awesome way of putting... I remember when my Dad tried to teach me how to back up when I was a kid.

He gave me a wheel barrow and said all you have to do is chase it into the spot you want to put it. You are the tractor, wheel barrow is the trailer.

  6. Holy crap !!! what happened here last night ?? This thread started at 10:00 AM yesterday and now ended the day at 159 posts !!! Well done guys.. And hey congrat Larry at hitten the road man after being a parking lot cruiser for so long. I'll be sure to stay away from Il. for a while LOL

  7. So this is what you guys did while I was gone (tisk tisk tisk shake head)

Well I had to decide between going out of town (road trip) with wife.. shopping.

or hang out in the shop, nothing to do... Waiting on parts, and checking the forum periodically to see what's new.

Can't watch TV... Speed is nothing but reruns

So I did the ROAD TRIP quality time with wife shopping. Time served. I'm good for a few more weeks LOL

  8. Years ago I tried unsuccessfully to pump up the tanks with the 12 volt compressors that were around then. After about 15 minutes they used to melt - never to go again. The modern 4wd compressors should be much better- the only way is to try them. Supercheap and Repco both have 12 volt compressors which they claim will do the job, but the duty-cycle beats a lot of them once they get to about 50psi, and this is not enough to start them. Best regards - Michael.

That would be another perfect example of "You get what you paid for"

We have a few places around here (Canadian Tire) (Princess Auto) that sells the 12v compressors for under $20 and you'll be luck to get 20 minutes out of them.

If anybody was to go this route and have a 12v compressor behind your seat for emergencies? Don't cheap out, get a good one. :thumb:

  9. For the amount of times your going to possibly need a second air source.

The 12vdc Bush Ranger Max Air II is a great idea. Not real fast but it will get the job done.

I had a similar 12V compressor from an air ride system a p/u for my 57 chev.

So I'm sure it will serve you well as a secondary air source for your starter. and cheaper too
