How many batteries does a 1955 B42 Gas engine come with from the factory mine only has one Battery box on the Passanger side and it looks to small to hold more than one battery. Its a 6 volt system, and I would think one batties would be to small to run the truck. But if it is only one battery where do I buy one with the correct cranking amps for the truck. I also believe these are possitive ground systems but not sure. any advice would be helpfull THANKS.

Hi I have a 1955 B42 model Mack I am starting to restore. When I bought it. It came with no battery. I looked at the generator to see if it said what the volts were, it did not. So I pulled out a head light and it's a 6 volt light. But the wiring goes through a resitor before the light so it might be lowering the volts. the Battery box is small, only big enough for one battery, And It's hard to believe that one 6 volt battery could not only start a big gas engine but run the whole truck too. I hope some one might know what the deal is thanks.

Hi Does any one know of any place you can get B model rocker panels or lower door patches? I have search the internet and B model parts suppliers and have come up empty handed, this probably means there are unavalible but have to ask in case i'm missing them some where THANKS jcoll55
