I'm not surprised to see my big boss in Quincy putting on a truck show, he is into classic trucks and I'm sure he'll show off his 49 Freightliner. I didn't know he was even doing one in Joliet.

I like dirt track racing at the county fairs around here still. Usually the driver, or his friends and family build the cars. That is what I call competition. Not this mass marketed garbage passed off nowadays.

I guess people didn't think about the effects of this government take over on health care. You can't just take from the rich and give to the poor. It's the rich who help creates jobs and the rich are those who make $200,000 or more a year and that includes small businesses too!

How much of a commute? Be sure to buy a Toyota Prius to reduce your carbon footprint.

It's about a 20 minute drive but with the traffic in the mornings on 270 it may turn into an hour drive. If I buy a new vehicle and I may do that, I plan on buying a Ford F150.

I'll be working from 8am-2pm M-F so that means I got to get up at 4am everyday and get ready and leave by 6 at least and deal with traffic. I'll be doing some clerical work and I'll be brokering freight for both LTL and truckload since this company does both but the LTL is a separate carrier itself. I may have actually found me a career.

I slept good for a change and had the best sleep I've had in a long time and I didn't even struggle to get out of bed. I knew I would sleep good when I woke up twice which told me I was sleeping pretty lightly. I got up at 4 this morning and I realize getting up at 4 every morning maybe too early but then again that isn't a bad thing.

I pretty much got the job. I got to set up a date to go to Quincy and meet up with the big boss.

Yeah, ive been running pretty good the last few weeks.

Freightliner stopped offering the FLD glider kits this year or this past year. He also has one Classic short hood glider kit with a 84" condo sleeper. All the FLD's have N14 Cummins in them with either 9 or 10 speed in them. There is about 25 FLD's with the ISX Cummins. He bought a few Pete 386's but he told me he made the mistake of getting the Eaton Ultra shift, the wheelbases are a bit too long, and he should have got a 63" raised sleeper instead of the 48" flat top. But I'm sure the 48" flat tops will be used for the Ohio turnpike doubles they run.

I don't think they broker freight out to other companies, I think it's to broker freight from shippers. But I don't know all the details, I'll find out Monday though.

I want to drive but since I'm not 21 I'll do something else in the company until then while I also get my degree in management. I'm so use to working in the shop that working in the office will be a change of pace especially in the brokerage department.
