  1. I completely understand! No hard feelings here. We're grown adults! Hopefully once the pump shop tears it down they can see exactly what's wrong.
  2. Thanks! I think it's time to move forward with removing the pump.
  3. Is that the "timing event" sensor? I replaced that a few days ago with a new one.
  4. Well as of this morning I've tried the plug. No change. All pins are tight and getting good continuity. It did throw the first code however. Rack position sensor- shorted high.
  5. So what would cause the signal to the actuator to be inaccurate?
  6. I'll check again today, the reason I had moved to the possibility of a bad FIC is my local Mack dealer says if the rack was stuck wide open that the key switch wouldn't shut the truck off. However the key switch shuts it off fine. What's your thoughts? Thanks
  7. Is the duetch plug the plug that goes into the throttle pedal? And back to the injection pump? 2 wires?
  8. Goodevening everybody, I'm hoping someone on here can shed some light on this situation. I've got a 1991 CH 613 e7 350. It does have the bosch pump but it is electronically controlled. Over the past year the electronic malfunction light would come on periodically and the engine would de rate the power. Completely gutless when the light came on. I could cut the switch off and back on and the light would go away and back to normal engine power. But it never had any codes stored while doing this. So we couldnt trace it down. Fast forward to a week ago.. the light came on and I done exactly what I have done the previous times, cut the truck off and back on. And its 100 percent full throttle. Almost like the rack is stuck wide open. But the key switch will shut it down. If you crank the truck back up, does the same thing. Wide open throttle. Does anyone have any insight to this? Or had this happen before? Could it be the Bosch FIC? Has that been the problem the entire time? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
