Hey all. I’ve had a passion for old Mack trucks. My dad hauled logs in the 80’s and I grew up riding shot gun in An 86 r600 hauling logs. But there has always been a favourite old Mack better than an old R. a Rw superliner. One with a 500v8. Dad told me stories about those old dogs how they pulled and their insane amount or raw power so I’ve scoured where I’m from looking for one and found my dream in a junk yard. He was parked 15 years. Due to low oil pressure, so I traded 35 tons scrap for him. Pulled the oil pump found tore o rings for the cooling jets and the relief valve plunger was scorn and sticking, polished the bore and the plunger put him back together and tada. Had 70 psi. What a bargain, I was sent to Australia with the military and seen the Aussie superliners, I was shocked when I seen an areodyne 1 bunk on one I thought the match was amazing after I got back home I’ve been searching all over canada and the us for a bunk and found one he’s a work in progress my objective is to make him Look like the last photo that was one I found on the net due to I didn’t have a camera in Australia but I’m thinking different color. Hope you like the story of ole thumper be nice to put him bad to work on the farm!
