  1. Thanks for the suggestions, will look into
  2. High pedal pressure on level surface, on a downhill grade- feels like there is some boost happening. Like you mentioned, we need to look at the check valve & at the control valve, etc.
  3. Those are good points. Before condemning the unit, we do need to check those points. Are you familiar with adding lubricating oil to those units? Per the manual, it is required periodically. Is there a possibility the main piston has seized & isn't moving due to lack of lubing? TIA
  4. Correct, we were thinking if we could find an old unit off a junked chassis (cheap), it could be sent out for rebuilding, saving some time. Rebuilds are running a minimum of $850+ and shipping The other option to find a kit & rebuild it ourselves? The particular unit we need is not seeming to be very popular & some of the crosses are the same Thanks
  5. Looking for leads for this brake booster A take-off (core) to get rebuilt Parts kit to use to rebuild Lead on rebuilders to get ours rebuilt
  6. Thanks for the help. I found ithe answer in some old Mack service documents from the Mack Historical folks
  7. Anyone have or have a link to manuals for this Hydrovac brake booster? Also wondering if there supposed to be lubricating oil in those units? My old Motors manual makes mention of adding "vacuum cylinder oil" to some units after rebuilding. Plus, our unit has 2- 1/8" plugs in the back section which look to be in a position to add oil & drain it out + where would oil be added if it is needed? It's used on our 1961 B95 open cab fire truck Thanks all!
  8. Definitely a creative solution Will have to look into Any idea what the part number was?
  9. Here are pics of the filter? housing we have. There is no media in the housing. Was this stock? Or what ould have been used inside it for media? Our alternative is to go with a canister type with the appropriate neck size.
  10. Can anyone post a picture and/or info on the air filter used on their B95 Macks ??
  11. Does anyone recognize these part numbers for this chassis? 2MD151 1MDA226 Looking for filter element I don't have a picture at the moment, but it is round w/ mesh screen inlet. Approx 8" diameter, 8" tall. Secures directly to an elbow, approx 30 degrees, going directly to carb inlet IMG_1145.pdf
  12. Thanks, did locate Brillman also
  13. Something to be said for mechanical parts, durability & repairability for sure. If the electronics crap out, call a wrecker to get home. We'll be watching
  14. Thanks, that should e what I needed. I'm sure doing both requires a little patience, we shall overcome!
  15. Points & condenser numbers only. This has dual distributors, so converting would be expensive Thanks
