That might even be a set of 3.87 ratios. Is it on 11r24,5 tires?

Yeah it's the Governor. Factory setting for truck engines was 2250RPM. Fire apparatus might have been higher. I had one in a late 40's LF wrecker, and I turned it up a bit. I got clocked doing a bit over 80 on I 95 towing an R model tandem tractor backwards one night. I got the speed up on the downhill heading to the Scudder Falls bridge, and it held it all the way to Woodhaven Rd where I got stopped. Oh how I miss the 1980's

That is this Barletta family. We have a lot of them here in Hazleton "Louis John Barletta is an American businessman and politician who served as the U.S. representative for Pennsylvania's 11th congressional district from 2011 to 2019. A member of the Republican Party, he served as mayor of Hazleton, Pennsylvania, from 2000 to 2010."

Yeah Skippy was like the Australian Lassie. The dad was a park ranger, and they had a Bell 47 helicopter. I don't think it was on one of the major networks here in the US, it must have been on one of the UHF channels

8.24 ratio isn't going to run too fast if it has one of the two transmissions I mentioned. They are both direct 1 to 1 in high. would make for about a 35 MPH top speed. The drop in from a set of 34,000 or 38,000 will fit right in if you want to change axle ratios. You just have to check that your axle splines are the same some were different. You have the steel case drop in carriers. The torque rod mounts in with a tapered stud. You can use the aluminum cases also but the torque rod bolts on with two bolts, You will have to modify or change them. This picture is an aluminum case. You can see the torque rod mounting is different from yours

I'm telling you I learned all about Australians from watching Skippy the Bush Kangaroo in the 1960's They drive weird Ford station wagons, have pet kangaroos, and go around singing "Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport" and "Waltzing Matilda"

They like those scoups too. And their visors are kinda rounded. Probably has something to do with living your life upside-down and driving on the wrong side of the road 🙃

Should be a ENDT675 engine (237) Either a TRL107 (5 speed) or TRXL107 (6 speed) transmission And my best guess would be 38,000 pound rears on Camelback suspension. But I would need pictures to say for sure. 34,000 , 38,000 . and 44,000 shared lots of parts. In 79 44,000 would have cones on the axle ends. This picture is of the cones. It's a Mack 44,000 of about that vintage

SALVEGE YARD VISIT
Joseph Cummings replied to Derrico's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
During construction they were digging up drums of unknown waste products. I seem to remember they relocated a building because they were hitting so many https://library2.buffalo.edu/archives/lovecanal/about/background-information.html -

I love how they are considered toxic wastelands until the right guy owns the property. And then it's fine to build houses and an elementary school on -
Anthracite Heritage Coal-A-Thon 1977
Joseph Cummings replied to Joseph Cummings's topic in Odds and Ends
I've got two EFM boilers here one an older round door, and one a dual fuel. Only really running one now. I haven't bought any this year. I've got to take a ride over to the breaker and see how much it is. Probably something crazy -

B75 vs LTL
Joseph Cummings replied to reb87's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
The top picture is the "Button" (Idle Spring Plunger) The lower the number, the more the funner The Shims are for the high speed spring to change the max RPM. The bottom picture is a cutaway of the PT pump, I drew a little red line on the button There are other things to do if you really want to tailor the hp and torque / HP curve, but most times all that gets done is the button and the shims. Depending on what engine you start with, there is an easy 100-200 hp there if you want to go that far -
B75 vs LTL

It looked like the tag was still on it. It could be whatever he wants with a 10 dollar button and 15 minutes work if he doesn't mind a little smoke -
I remember them back in the day. It was a nice looking fleet. We were the house trucking operation for Certified Steel when they were at Olden and Arctic 1621 North Olden. Our trucks all had Sepviva Street Warehouse on the door.

B75 vs LTL

There were videos of that truck running and operating on yt a year or two ago -
"The mansion, which had more than 20 fireplaces, also had many elaborate features such as gold fixtures in every bathroom. In addition, the Tylers had a 10-car turntable garage, enabling each car to be cranked to its own spot. Henry D. Slepper of Boston was hired to oversee the mansion’s interior decorating. Forty servants staffed the Tyler residence in its heyday, and they lived either in the east wing of the house or in the small cottages situated on the estate." https://www.bucks.edu/campus/newtown/campusmap/tylerhall/

Yeah in a round about way, they were at our house for all the holidays, at my uncle's house all the time, took me to car, truck, and motorcycle shows all the time when I was a kid. Matt has been gone I guess like 20 years from a heart condition. I haven't been able to get in touch with John either. I have to try and call my cousin and see if she knows anything. You know he moved to upper Bucks don't you? Damn, I hope he is OK. They actually followed my uncle home when he was out in one of his Pierce Arrows in like 1965. That is how we all met. Here is one of the Pierces with the new owner. The women are my Aunt and My Cousin
