  1. Hey everybody. I have a 68 r685 with a 237 and five speed. The truck currently has a pto on the transmission but no wet kit. I'm looking to add one to pull my dump trailer around. The problem is thought that the pto has a 1 1/2" keyed shaft, unlike modern ptos which have a female end for the shaft from the pump to slide into. My understanding from research is this is an old style using a jack shaft to run from the pto to the pump. Has anybody added a pump to this style of pto recently? I'd prefer to keep the current pto and retrofit something to it instead of replacing it.
  2. Hi everybody, I have a R685ST with FA352 front end that needs tie rod ends. The ends on it appear to be the rebuildable style. However, I can't find a parts number for the rebuild kit. All I can find is a whole tie rod end (10QH37) but that doesn't match what I have. I attached a photo of the end that I have. My style is like a sleeve that slips on, the 10QH37 is a screw on end. Can anybody help with parts numbers for this tie rod end?
  3. Hi everybody, I've got a 68 R685 that needs a few parts to get back on the road safely (tie rod ends and e-brake pads). The problem I'm running into is that no dealer seems to be able to run the serial number. The number I have off the passenger side frame rail is R685ST4348-C and apparently it's invalid. Does anybody know if there's another number number to run, or would they have a way to run the number I have? The VIN won't work since it was changed out due to a damaged plate. I attached a photo of the tie rod end style and hopefully somebody has some info on when they used this style, I know my dad's '79 R model is different, but I don't know when they switched. Thanks
