Being a gasoline, (petrol) powered unit this would be correct. Positive ground, (earth) was very common in the timeframe before alternators became the normal application for battery charging.
Rob
My 65 B75 was positive ground also.

Movie poster. If I'm remembering correctly it starred James Cagney , don't remember the year it came out, I'll have to do some more checking. I've had it in my queue for blockbuster online but it says there is an extremely long wait- I think I've been waiting 6 months or longer for it to ship.
Russ
Just checked, the original movie starred George Raft, Humphrey Bogart and Ann Sheridan, came out in 1940. So I guess the poster isn't for the original movie- a remake or a play possibly ? Anyone

yepper, no doubt about it. What is it? A movie poster?..concert?..play? I've heard of Nick Lowe-"Cruel to be Kind". Pretty good song.

I like it. I can see it now, pulling a road train. Ducky on one side and me on the other, with our own separate steering wheels. Of course we would have to agree before hand which side of the road to drive on. Hah.
How about split the difference and drive down the middle of the road ?

After 47 years living in the US, And runing my own dump trucks in New Jersey for the last 13 years.I made the big move to live in Australia. Things are going pretty good so far. They made me take my driving test to get my HR licence (class What a trip, it was a mitsubishi with 13 speed road ranger. Now i been around trucks for a while,But this is gone a little getting used to driving on the other side of the road and shifting with your left hand, kinda like starting all over again, A whole new life in a whole new world.
Welcome Aboard!
I've got a nephew living there now- went to school there and liked it so much he stayed. Was admiring some of the photos posted from the members there and got to wondering, if the steering wheel is on the right are the turn signal levers still on the left side of the column and the spike on the right ? Is the shift pattern the same on the tranny, or is it reversed and what about something with two sticks (Okay, I cut my teeth on a B Model !) If anyone from down under could post so interior shots of your rigs I'd love to see them.

Just joined, allow me to introduce myself.
Iwas born and raised on a farm in Saskatchewan. Canada but find myself living in Nevada now. My first truck was a 1965
B75, of the three trucks I have owned it is the one I most wish I still owned. Besides owning my own trucks (My B Model
and two Peterbilts) I have driven for others and operated heavy equipment. I have hauled hay, grain, fertilizer, machinery, heavy equipment, and produce. Looking forward to to seeing photos of everyone's old Macks

Drove an LTL9000 Ford that had them-was interesting to say the least the first time I drove it after I thought I had adjusted the brakes
