  1. Thanks for all the responses fellas. To be honest I'm not a Mack purist. What I saw was a blank canvas to build whatever truck I could out of what was salvageable. It will keep most of its original body with the cab, fenders, hood and grille being put back on the original frame. The steps and side panels were shot but I plan on remaking them after it's running. I have a dana 70 dually rear I'm putting in since the diff is locked and the split rims shot. Haven't decided on engine yet but leaning towards a hot Ford 300 straight six. I'm going to put in a cage and leave it rusty on the outside. Hate it or love it I'm the one who saved this bulldog from the wrecker and at least I'm trying to save the parts I can for an actual purist to rebuild their truck. Thanks for all the comments and hope to find someone who needs these parts. I'll give them away at this point to anyone who will pick them up
  2. Hello Everyone, My name is Ben and I recently purchased a 1941 Mack Model EH that was on the side of the road for sale. I plan on using much of the truck and make a rat rod out of what is salvageable. I believe the truck was used as a water tanker but has since has the tank removed. The leather key tag said "tanker" and the already heavy duty frame has plate steel attached to it on both outer sides for reinforcement. I have contacted the Mack Museum and am in line to have my chassis number looked up; yes I donated as well haha. I am not going to be using many of the original parts from the truck and would like to offer them for sale so that the parts can live another life with someone in need. Parts I have available from 1941 Mack Model EH: Engine and transmission- I believe it to be an EN310 but haven't been able to find guides for casting numbers to differentiate from an EN354. The transmission shift pattern plate states it is the five speed direct drive transmission. Intake pipe is rusted underneath and was cut off for engine removal. Driveshafts Rear differential Gas tank Radiator I have plenty of pictures that I can send or take for anyone interested. I am unsure of prices but really just looking for them to go to a good home much more than make a profit. Located in Lake George, NY 12820. I will be posting pictures and will keep everyone updated on the build.
