  1. I took oil to the lab. Also, every 7,000 miles I produce 3 extra gallons. I have tried everything. I'm starting to think it's major - piston rings, sleeves for injectors in the cylinder head, or a cracked block. I'm at my worst end with this thing
  2. Hello Joey. I'm having diesel in oil problem also. Mine is a 2000 Mack tech 460hp. I've done pluge behind front cover, new injectors, rebuild unit pumps, new primer pump, sent heads in to be rebuilt at machine shop. And I'm still "making oil" You mentioned here you've did a job where the rings were stuck... Do you think if I do a compression test it will let me know if I have some stuck rings that is washing my engine like your case? I'm wanting not confirm this without tear it down and simply guessing.
  3. Hello. I'm new to the platform. I few years back I read some comments written by Mackpro on the topic of upgrading up to a 460hp. Unfortunately I can't find this info anymore. Im dealing with a 1998 CH vin: 1M1AA12Y5WW093579. The 11GBA - 80430. I'm almost done changing out the unit pumps, turbo, and the injector tips. I'm waiting on dealership to tell me what position I need to offset the key way (red or white). My question is do I have to do the software upgrade through the dealership or may I just buy a computer from a 460hp rated truck? And if so, would it be the engine ecm or the VECU or both. Thank you for your time and knowledge.
