  1. I have a 2013 Mack Granite Day Cab with an MP8 / 13 Speed. 290K Miles When Traveling down a Bumpy Road Occasionally I get a Popping sound that may or may not be followed by an Air Relief Sound. As soon as the brake pedal is touched the engine dies. this happened once in 3 years while driving a 2015 Company truck. But it has happened twice in 2 days now that I am an owner operator. The truck will start right back up and keep working, but it is somewhat alarming when you loose all power at speed. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a certain sensor that will shut down the engine if it is loose, damaged or bad? Any ideas where to start looking would be appreciated.
  2. I just purchased a 2013 Mack Granite GU 713 MP8. The previous owner cut the wires leading to the Yaw Sensor and capped them off. I believe the Yaw sensor is causing the ABS Code MID 136 SID 103 FMI 9 136: ABS Wheel Speed Sensor, 103: Yaw Rate Sensor, 9 abnormal update rate. That combined with a MID 136 SID 4 FMI 14 136: ABS Wheel Speed Sensor, 4: Drive Front (R) 2 14: Special instructions Those are the only 2 ABS codes i have. They did the same with the fuel filter wires. That just gives me a Guard Dog Message to check the Fuel Filter. The truck runs and drives fine. Just wondering if it is going to cause any other problems if i can't fix it right away.

  4. Greetings from Shreveport, LA Just purchased my first new to me Mack Truck. She's a 2013 Mack Granite GU713 Day Cab with 292K Miles. It's got an MP8 Motor, 13 Speed Trans, Camelback suspension and aluminum outers. My plan was to convert it to a dump truck, but there is a 2 - 3 month wait. So I am gonna sign on with an outfit here in Louisiana and run salt water.
