  1. I am attempting to restore an old fire engine that hasn't been on the road for a few years. It's a gas inline 6 thermodyne. I had it running for a while but the original dual chamber fuel pump is toast. I've ordered a few other pumps claiming to be compatible, but unfortunately would not line up internally. At this point I'm wasting time and money on "trying on" different pumps. So I'm curious would I be able to install an electric pump and pressure regulator instead of searching for another mechanical pump, if so what would ideal psi be?
