  1. Hi guys I have 2016 mack pinnacle with Mack axles. This morning while doing my circle check I notice my axle lock is stuck on theirs a light on the that says fr axle lock when I hit the axle lock switch nothing happens, when I start driving a message comes up on the display saying inter axle.  All the wiring is attached to both axle housings I don’t see anything broken or rotted off what should I be looking for? How do the axle locks and inter axle work on Mack axles.

  2. Hi guys. I recently had the clutch go out on my 16 pinnacle and I have a few questions. Is there more than 1 clutch for this trans mission? Also is it an easy clutch to replace? I understand after install it’s need to be calibrated by dealer software but can a regular mechanic do the install?

Sorry I meant to post the other day I’ve let it be truck isn’t over heating coolant temps run between 180 220 oil temp dosentcseem to go much passed or if at all past 250 oil temp been sitting around 245 so going by what you told me nothings wrong and it’s operating normal. I’ve been worried because I run with a couple guys with isx engines and they run at 220. I remember reading some where or when I was apprenticing that oil temp is usually 35 to 30 degrees more than coolant temp

  4. Hi guys I’m looking at upgrading my 2016 pinnacle to something newer and have a few questions. I currently have a 505c engine most of the newer trucks I’ve been looking at are a 445 tc engines will I notice much of a power loss or difference? Do the newer engines have the same injector cup issues? Is their anything I should be watching for on the anthems?

  5. The Mack dealers here in Ontario used Jpro every time I go for an engine light and check in they hook jpro to it. I’ve been pondering buying diagnostic lap top im more con vinced to buy Jpro or Jaltest they do all makes and models even says it does all the specific tests for Mack & volvo

  6. Ok thanks so where is this diverted valve located under the truck do you have any pictures of it? Is it an expensive part? Both fuel tank vents are brand new I have non vented caps should would vented fuel caps make any improvement? Today I put 269 litres of fuel in the passages side tank and 200 in the drivers side so I guess the diverted is working abit?

  7. Hi guys I’m having trouble with my 16 pinnacle I’m getting an error coming up say dpf system fault then it throws the engine light on and I’m getting p24f7 code. I have changed the ahi pressure regulator and air dryer the other day. What else ami looking at? I changed the 7th injector in the fall I can’t see it being plugged up already but should I maybe take it out and cleaning it?

  8. Would i notice the difference between 445hp and 505 both the he and the regular mp8 are 1860 tq. After all the money i gave sunk into my 2016 my buisness plan is to lease and turn them in every 3 to 5 years i thinks thats the only way to go with these emissions motors. And yes thats why im look at the HE is for the fuel savings but if 445hp over 505 makes it a slug in the hills id be better off with 505 right? I haul a 4 axle end dump in northern Ontario cabada and in the southern tier ny & northeast pa
