That is very possible I heard the same as you but never confirmed it! Chances are your engine has the Dynatard cam and all you need is the push tubes and rocker gear to make it work And wiring of coarse ! If you have a donor engine you could swap the rockers and push tubes and see what happens! if you want to invest the time!
Just sayin!
O.K I Have the other complete engine that I was using everyday up until October when it spun a bearing or something, So I have everything , so I guess I could see if it will work, I am just trying to keep from having someone change camshafts if possible.

O.K. Thanks everyone for the quick replies, the only reason I was wanting to use dynatard is because I have one on the e6 that spun a bearing, and I heard its hard to find a Jake brake for a E6. Have heard someone mentioned that in later years all mack engines had the dynatard cam regardless whether one was installed or not, but don't know if that is so.
-
O.K., So is there any way to tell from looking at anything under the valve covers if it would have the right cam for Dynatard? Engine is a 1989 EM6 300L 4 valve .

I can't even find the B code on my E6 350 and it has a Dynatard , unless I'm looking in wrong place. would the code be somewhere besides the tag?
-
O.K. Thanks everyone for the fast replies, I'll check the engine tag and see if it has a B on the tag in the engine family.

O.K I was thinking about putting a EM6 300L in my R model and I didn't know if the dynatard from my E6 350 would work on it.
-
Can a Dynatard be installed if engine didn't come out with one?

O.K. thanks Mark T

O.K. thanks everyone for the quick replies! Yes this truck came from a company so treated worse than owner operator would treat it more than likely, so either one of the clutch brakes posted (Euclid EB201500 , 127200) will fit my Maxitorque 10 speed? Thanks , Denny

Hi, I have a 2006 Mack Granite with the Mack 10 speed multi reverse transmission, I just recently bought this truck and its hard to put into gear from neutral, so I crawled under to look at the clutch brake, and I do not see a clutch brake. Is it possible that it has came apart and fell out? Does the Mack transmission use the same type clutch brake as a Eaton? And what is the input shaft size , 1 3/4"? Thanks

Hi, I had to replace a wheel seal on a 2006 Mack Granite dumptruck on the rear axle, and it only has one spindle nut with 2 small allen screws that tighten down in notches in the lock behind the nut,was wanting to know the procedure and torque specs, I have done several on my r model that has 2 nuts and lock that goes between them ,but never done one like this. Thanks,Denny

O.K. thanks everyone for the replies, I'll check the bolts and the backlash while in there.

Hi I'm wandering if anyone knows the part# or size of the o-ring on the aluminium side cover is? (Mack 44,000). Mine is leaking pretty good. Thanks

O.K. Thanks Joey Mack, mine is the Ambach injection pump, yes it has a engine brake.

Was wandering if a 1989 Mack RD688S is positive or negative ground?

Fastduramax, I got a remanufactured one from a place called Rebuilders Enterprise in Bridgeview, IL. So far all noticed is a little bit of oil residue out of the air dryer not much just small amount. I'm hoping it is from oil that was already in the system. Before I changed it, pushed oil out bad, big puddle out the dryer, and In all the lines. Nice RD you got there btw.
-
Oh yeah I made sure that the tube was in there. Its probably not good on the air compressor without it I'm guessing?
-
Yes, I found a compressor on eBay from a place in Illinois that rebuilds them, Mine was putting alot oil through the air lines. Started putting the new one on Yesterday.

Can you replace just the sealed bearings in these, Or is it the complete hub assembly that has to be replaced?
