  1. Did you ever get this figured out? My 01 rd is doing the same thing and I’m having no luck figuring it out.
  2. What temp should the fan kick on? Mine is coming on at 180 which seems low because that is thermostat temp so how would it kick off because it wont get any cooler .
  3. I have an 01 RD E7 427 that the fan wont shut off properly. When you start the truck its off as it should and stays off until it gets to 180 deg. The fan then comes on but will not shut off again until you shut the truck off and it cools down. It just seems to hover right around 180. I’m not sure what the engage and disengage temps should be and if one sensor controls both or if one turns it on and one turns it off. When I call my dealer they tell me to google it. Any help, advice or direction would be greatly appreciated .
  4. Unfortunately the truck is basically undriveable the leak is so bad it really cant build air and it is stuck in high range . Can you tell me where the range cylinder is located ? Maybe I can figure it out or get some help from someone who has worked on Mack transmissions thanks
  5. Is that different than the range valve? We just got this truck about 6 months ago so I’m very green on it especially this transmission
  6. Ok thank you! I’ll replace the range valve
  7. I went to move my truck the other day and it had a horrible air leak on top of transmission which is a 2110b. I determined it was the inversion valve on the back upper left of transmission , as it was blowing out the end of it where the rubber cover is. I replaced it with a brand new one from Mack only to find it did the exact same thing . Was wondering if anyone has any thoughts ? I’m thinking it could possibly be being back fed from one of the delivery ports on the valve? thanks
