  1. I just chocked the front wheels, knocked the brakes off and check the driveline. Everything feels tight. The carrier bearing is the only thing clean under the truck so it appears it may have been replaced recently. I'm gonna go drive it and see if it goes away if I go to neutral while its vibrating.
  2. I just picked up a 2017 pinnacle chu613. MP8, air ride with meritor rears. MDrive trans. Noticed on the way home with it that at any speed over 50, it shakes and vibrates when you let off the gas. I can't really tell if its coming from the front or rear. As soon as I give it a little gas it goes away. Any ideas? Thank you
  3. Anybody know what size speakers are in the new style cabs? They have door speakers and also in the rear panel right behind your head but haven't had time to remove the panels and measure. Thanks
  4. Thanks guys. I agree the salesman was just looking for a sale at any cost, and I was dumb enough to fall for it. The manager (Leon McClain) at Mack of Charlotte took the truck back and got me in a new pinnacle CH. I couldn't be happier with the service and the truck from this dealer.
  5. mdrive. i'm swapping it out for a new pinnacle ch. new truck has 3.25 gears, 24.5's, diff lock, and the ability to turn off atc. I hope it does better in the woods than the anthem did.
  6. When I bought the truck the salesmen knew I was gonna use it for hauling logs but insisted it would be fine. It has Meritor rears. Weird thing is it has a gold bulldog so to me it should have mack rears. I called Meritor and asked about adding a diff lock and he said I couldn't unless I swapped the rears. Considering the gear ratio is 2.47 it might not be a bad idea.
  7. I just bought a mack anthem daycab about a month ago. I was told when I bought it that it had full locking rears. I was a little overwhelmed when I picked the truck up and did not catch the fact that it actually does not have locking rears. It does have a power divider lockout but that's it. I haul logs and really need to be able to lock everything together coming in and out of the woods. How hard would it be to add locking rears now? Thanks
  8. Are you having to prime them after a fuel filter change? Also, I had another guy tell me to make sure it wouldn't void my warranty if I performed my own oil changes.
  9. Just picked up an 18 Anthem daycab with the mp8. I normally service my own trucks but this is my first mack. Is there anything out of the ordinary I need to do or look for when I service it? Does anyone have the baldwin filters part #'s for the oil and fuel filters? Will I have to prime the fuel system back up when I change the fuel filters? Thanks
