  1. This is a single axle open cab fire truck , This was used to pull the ladders to the fire so that was the reason for the open cab , removable canvas top that looks like it belongs to the truck , It also has dual ignition ,This truck looks very cool , It has a lot going for it but still needs some attention , It is a 6 cylinder thermodyne gas and a 4 speed transmission

I have a 1949 Mack truck project with one ton G.M. dually suspension. The frame is stock Mack, so cab mounts, fender bracket mounts, and running board mounts are all stock. The body work has been done on a very nice original cab as are the running boards. The grille is an excellent original that I painted in my planned paint scheme. All parts are there to pick thru to make a very nice truck. I have lowered price and will sell the extra parts myself to recoup dollars invested. The frame has been set up for big block Chevrolet. The fuel tanks do not go with truck. Questions? Call...

  4. I'm starting a project soon. If you can overlook my selfishness, it would be great if you could give us all a glimpse into the pitfalls of starting a project like this.

Looks like some decent painting went on there. Can I ask what happened? Why stop now I mean. It looks like you're well on your way.

I know there are many things that you can't control, and possibly some mistakes were made. If you could give us your story, it could help the next guy.

Anyway, best of luck selling your stuff. There are great pictures but it would also help to let us know if you plan to part it out or if you're looking for someone to buy the whole lot.

  5. In August 2015 someone posted two Mack trucks, a 45U and an EEU to ebay.

Here is a link to the ad posted on another site:

Does anyone know if they were sold? If the original owner still has them I'd like to contact them and see if we can come to an agreement. If it was sold, then I'd like to contact the new owner and find out their disposition.

If anyone has any info please let me know. I am going to start looking through the streets of Perris on Google Street View to see if I can find it 😉

Just kidding. I'm going to use satellite view.
