  2. This ad is on Ebay. Claims to end Tuesday 12PM, 1/8/19.

I really like the look of the box on this one. I'd buy it for the box if I had a truck for it. I like how there is a fender for the rear wheels. This is the style I like in an old box. The toolboxes would be a bonus. If you buy this truck and you don't want the box and you're going by Texas to get it home, give me a call. I'll give you $500 to put it in my backyard for when I find my truck 😉

    ----

PLEASE READ ALL Pics are current, except 5, 6 from 15 yrs ago. 1946 BROCKWAY 260 TRUCK NEEDS ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, WINDSHIELD(cracked) & a FUEL TANK. ORIGINAL POWER WAS GAS, Engine WAS not original, and did not run, so, I REMOVED it 20 YRS AGO. MY PLAN WAS DIESEL CONVERSION, But never got to it 😕
Truck has California Historical Plates on non-op status.
SPICER OVERDRIVE 5spd TRANS AVAILABLE FOR $225 EXTRA (that's cheap) has # bellhousing.
    Great for DIESEL ENGINE, Cummins 5.9, 8.3, 3126 Cat, Detroit 6-71, 4-71
-TRUCK HAS A 2-SPD REAR AXLE & REAR FRAME SECTION FROM 1965 WHITE CABOVER TRUCK. IT HAS BEEN INSTALLED AND  SPLICED TOGETHER BY PROFESSIONAL WELDER WHO DID HI TECH MILITARY STUFF.
IT COMES WITH DRIVESHAFT. THE TRUCK HAS AIR BRAKES (NEEDS NEW LINES), POWER STEERING & RARE 10 HOLE BUDD WHEELS. IT SOLD NEW IN CALIFORNIA AS LOS ANGELES DEPT WATER POWER WHO HAD LOTS OF BROCKWAY'S.
-I HAD THE 13ft BOX PUT ON ABOUT 20 YRS AGO, I BOUGHT IT FOR $1200. THE VERY HEAVY STEEL BOX CAME FROM FACTORY FAIRBANKS SCALE SERVICE TRUCK TO CALIBRATE WEIGHING SYSTEMS, IT CARRIED A VAST ARRAY OF WEIGHTS INSIDE BOX.  IT HAD AN INSIDE HOIST TRACK BUILT IN THE CEILING and CONTINUED OUT THE REAR VAN DOOR BUT WAS CUT OFF INSIDE THE REAR DOORS MANY YEARS AGO.
THE ROOF OF BOX IS TOTALLY RUSTED THROUGH ACROSS THE MIDDLE TOP SEAMS BUT TOTALLY WORTH FIXING, PUTTING IN PLASTIC SKY LIGHT IN MIDDLE BETWEEN SEAMS WOULD BE GREAT.
The BOX HAS INCREDIBLE BUILD QUALITY WITH REAR & SIDE DOORS W/TOOL BOXES INSIDE AND OUTSIDE.
AGAIN The rust on top is between the main TOP OF ROOF seams, so putting the skylight in middle would be best. SEE INTERIOR PICS of INSIDE BOX.
HAS ONLY ONE REAR TIRE ON ALUMINUM BUT NO GOOD. MISSING OTHER REAR TIRE/WHEEL, BUT COMMON.
-THIS SHOULD BE PICKED UP WITH LOW BED TRAILER W/WINCH.  ALL TRANSPORTATION MUST BE SET UP AND PROVIDED BY BUYER! I CAN HELP BEST I CAN. I SOLD A MACK B-73 ON EBAY 3 YRS AGO!   PLEASE ARRANGE TRANSPORTATION WITHIN 2 -3 weeks!!!
THIS IS A RARE HEAVY DUTY COMMERCIAL TRUCK THAT REQUIRES LOTS OF TLC AND WORK SO PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS AND THINK THIS OUT COMPLETELY!!  SOLD AS IS WHERE IS !

I feel like wreckers are for specific people, and that’s probably the battle with selling one. When I see one with great tins/runs, I think about ripping the body off and making it into a tractor. I’m just not a wrecker/dump truck guy.

Oh if I ever found a nice outrigger style wrecker like this one in an e-series cabover I'd make it my daily driver in a second. I think they look cool.

I work just down the road and with my kids I'll get use out of it soon enough.

  5. 1990 Mack MS200P Mid-Liner Medium-Duty Straight Truck - Dry, 5.5L, 10-Speed, 16ft Morgan Truck Box, 4,000lbs Aluminum Lift, Southern Truck, Runs and Drives Strong! , Horse Power, Spring Suspension, All Steel Wheels, Wheel Base, 22.5, Axle, Ratio

This is basically the configuration I am looking for but it was made in France by Renault. Anyone know about engine reliability or replacement after 200k miles? Or should I just start looking at new trucks.

I grew-up in a town close by and went to school in Doylestown. I also have a B61 very much like that one I tried to sell on here for $5000 that's alot better condition and runs good but no one was interested.imageproxy.php?img=&key=a8b8d98f5855eef7I tried to upload pictures but it wouldn't work.

I use a PC to post ads. There should be a paper clip at the bottom of every post you write. Try dragging a photo from your desktop to that paperclip, it should load the photo and allow you to post it.

  7. Offered for sale is an incredibly rare and highly sought after 1933 model BG
Mack. This pumper was built by Mack for the Dannemora, New York Fire
Department and we have the build records from Mack that supports this.
These early open cab Macks are truly a rarity on the market, as they almost
    never appear for sale.

This rig is incredibly complete and original, and has been in long term
storage for many, many years. It still shows its original gold leaf in
places and would be usable for patterning. The only real significant rust
issues are in the seat and side skirt areas, which would be straightforward
repairs. The wood running board and hose bed floor will need replacing also.
The dash and instruments are in very good condition. The head lights, tail
lights, and spot lamp are also in remarkable shape. The pump gauges and caps
are also original and in very good condition. The radiator, engine, and
engine compartment are in very good and complete condition. The Mack
cloisonné emblems are in incredible shape, and the dual folding windshield
    assembly is also intact.
The engine is free and turns easily. The transmission also shifts in the all
of the gears with ease. The Mack's overall dimensions are: 20 feet long, 80
inches wide, and 82 inches tall with hose reel, making this a very small
size truck that can fit into nearly any garage.

With only a handful of these surviving, it's truly an exceptional find, and
very worthy of restoration. Don't miss this very unique opportunity! Call or
email with questions. Open to reasonable offers. Additional pictures
    available.

The following was a short article written about this truck :

"There's just something awesome about old, open cab fire trucks and this original and fully intact 1933 Mack is a stunning example of the breed. There are enthusiasts for just about every vehicle known to man out there. Guys who love trains, guys who love wreckers, and especially guys who love and restore fire trucks. What you are looking at is a very, very rare example of a 1930s Mack pumper truck. This one was built by Mack for a town in New York and the seller has all of the original build information on the rig to back that up.

The most amazing part of this truck is how intact and complete it is right down to the ladders hanging off the sides, the hoses, and even the gauges are all there. Yes, there's plenty of work that needs to be done to restore this thing. There will be metal work there will be mechanical work and there will certainly be body work to get it all back to its gleaming red state but wow. This is a project that any ace firetruck collector would saw off a limb to get hold of.

Mack fire trucks have been some of the coolest in history. From these old open cab jobs to the massive trucks used in towns and cities for decades after this one was built, bulldog equipped fire trucks have carried more than their fair share of first responders to the scene of blazes.

Maybe we're just simple but it is kind of amazing to look at the photos of this truck and see it as though it were just parked in the back of a fire house 60-70 years ago and just left there. No parts pilfered off of it, no egregious damage done. Frozen in time and allowed to rust comfortably, it is a really cool look back into the world of fire fighting apparatus and we hope it is one day restored to it original glory."
