Thanks j hancock, it seems to be in pretty good shape for it's age. been parked for over 20 years and not started in about 4-5 years. My first attempt to start it I discovered the starter is either bad or stuck so I'll be pulling it off shortly to replace.

Thanks, the odometer shows 150k, the owner said the cable broke about a year before he parked it so we guess about 200k or less.

Thanks for the picture info I'll try it. Been to Florida many times in my trucking career, warm and sunny all the time what's not to like. Now that I'm semi-retired we spend 2 weeks at Fort Pickens every Oct. Here is a picture when it got home now the adventure begins.

Hello from the Sooner state! I've been in trucking for almost 40 years but never owned a Mack until now. Bought a 1986 R688ST from the original owner, has been sitting for about 20 years hope to revive it and make it into a tri-axle dump truck. Will post some pictures as soon as I learn how.
