Motorcycles, Trucks living in the country along with hunting and fishing. I am 56 years if age and am planning on retirement in 5 to 7 years. I have just purchased my first truck as a O/O but have been a company driver for over 25 years. Retirement savings is gone and that is the main reason I have decided to become and O/O not to mention I hate working to make other rich.lol My new ride is a 2009 Mack Pinnacle with a 72 inch bunk and an MP8 13 speed fuller and 355 rears and heavy speck it is only a 225 in wheelbase. I hope to be able to dress her up with some chrome and do a DPF delete for improved fuel economy and HP

  1. mp8 macky Can you please tell us how the performance is with the delete. I purchased a new aftermarket module that tricks the ECM into thinking the sensors are all fine and working well, this was on my 09 pinnacle MP8 485 hp. How much did this cost and how long did it take. Did it improve your performance and MPG ? Currently I get 5 1/2 to 6.2 mpg with the MP8 485 hp 13 speed fuller and 355 rears running on 22.5 / 11 Michelins with average 60,000 pounds in the box. thanksin advance for any assistance you can offer.
  2. Hello everyone. I have a 2009 pinnacle with the 485 hp MP8 with A 13 speed fuller and 355 rears running on 22.5/11 Michelins and I regularly pull 50,000 to 75,000 pounds in the box and I run 60 mph at 1300 rpm and I get 5.7 to 6 mpg based on 3.7 liters equals 1 US gal. if I haul a light load of 30 to 40,000 pounds my mileage goes up by 1/4 to 1/2 mpg. my tanks hold 180 gallons and I fuel at 1/4 tank and put in approximately 160 US gallons. I too would love to get into the 7 mpg range. Did this only once with 25,000 in the box.
  3. Hello guys and gals I am a newbe here from Cobourg Ontario Canada, Just purchased my first Mack a 2009 Pinnacle with a 72 inch bunk and an MP8 485 HP with a 13 speed fuller and 355 rears. I will be hauling refers at 45 to 47,000 pounds on various roads types from steep hills to flats. Any information about this motor and fuel economy I can expect would be greatly appreciated. and if anyone has some ideas on mods or upgrades for both performance, reliability and just kool ideas for some extra bling. Just want to thank everyone in advance for your time to assist me with my request. Respectfully, Archie
