  1. Thanks for the info. I'm guessing the weight of removed is probably closer to 1000lbs, but that still leaves a pretty heavy chassis. I'm not used to working on the larger trucks!
  2. Hey guys, new Mack owner here. My Dad and I recently picked a '57 B-42 quad box single axle tractor to restore. My grandfather drove B-models for Wilson Freight, so we wanted to restore one in his memory. Two questions...I'm looking for the weight of the cab and chassis. From my searching, the weight seems to be around 8500-9000 lbs. Can anyone confirm? Also, we've already got body completely removed from the chassis (cab, fenders, hoods, grill/radiator). I need to haul the chassis back to my house, but my trailer is only rated for 5500 lbs (legally!). Any guesses on the weight of the chassis minus body and gas tank? Thanks for the help!!!
