  1. Thanks for the replies. I didn't know there were so few built. I will just be waxing this truck!
  2. This is my first Mack truck. Just bought it last week. 1951 45A, 330 cu in 6 cylinder gas with the dual ignition system. (Currently only running one set of plugs) The truck has 20,338 original miles. It's a pumper truck. The previous owner ordered the Mack museum info for it, It went to the Chicago Heights Fire dept when new. The museum packet has some neat pictures of the truck new. It still has all its fire equipment. Ladders, hoses, 500 gal water tank, centrifugal pump, Motorola radio system from 1955. It runs like a top. Only issue right now is the brake pedal goes to the floor. Previous owner had brake work done at the shop where the truck was for sale, won't mention any names but guess they couldn't get it right? Sorry for the grainy backed in barn pic but it was one of the few that were small enough to upload here. This isn't my first fire truck. I used to own a 1986 Peter Pirsch and sons 110' skytop ladder truck. I had plans of removing the fire apparatus from the Mack before I bought it, but not sure if I want to now...
