Ok should there be power to brake switch and all the wires to the three switchs under dash were pulled down trying to decide which wire goes where and the old brake switch was broke in half but the brakes are still doing same and thanks so much for you help

Ok I had a bad brake switch when I brought this truck replaced it with new switch when I hit the brake the brake lights come on for a second then go off it was doing the same with the busted switch this thing has me stumped any help would be appreciated
