  1. With oil on the threads, is what I normally do. Typically have used sae30 on the threads. But I figure any common engine oil would be good.
  2. Hey guys! So what does everyone think in regards to oiling or not oiling threads on head bolts that are torqued in sequence? (i.e. Not bolts that are torque-to-yield). And should a head bolt that threads into an area that has coolant around it, be sealed with some kind of sealant?
  3. Engine tag states that the engine was made in late 1987.
  4. Hi guys! I'm new to the site and to working on Mack's. Got a 1988 Mack cs300 truck that I'm repairing. It has a renault engine in it. Model 06.20.30. It's the engine with 6 individual heads. Serial number for engine is like cs04815hh. Does anyone know what the torque pattern is for the head bolts and the torque sequence? Thanks!
