Has anyone ever put a Fass pump system on a ASET engine?  If so did it make a difference in performance. 

Has anyone changed a variable vane stock turbo to a non variable/ standard turbo on a Mack ASET 460 engine with success/no codes?

What year of a truck?

Make sure you have at least 60 psi of fuel to your unit pumps, sometimes the check valve could be weak. Also when the dealer inputs the serial numbers for the unit pumps make sure they calibrate the foot throttle.

I have a 2007 that was originally a 427. This was a dud when I first bought it,so I decided to have it turned into a 460P from the Mack dealer. It helped but it was a bitch to shift bc of the egr. So I sent the ecm to Heavy Duty Diesel Tune to have the egr deleted and turned up 100 hp. The truck was so much easier to shift but my torque was flat, I liked the 460P Tune better. So then I replaced all my unit pumps and put stage 2 injectors from Rochester in. Wow! What a difference it blows some smoke and has instant power. Keep in mind you need to have someone program your unit pumps to the ecm so the truck will run smoother.

What is your fuel pressure from the supply pump? If you're not maintaining 70 psi your pump is weak, or you have a bad check valve.

The hose used for that is plastic fuel line, same as your fuel return.

That filter is between the two oil filters and the starter

Make sure you have good flow coming out of your coladessent filter that feeds the trubo control

This is a turbo for a 460 put on a turned up 350. It builds good bost but it blows head gaskets when i put the fuel to it. I have another truck that is turned up from a factory 400 (lower compression pistons) with smaller factory turbo blows more bost and doesn't blow head gaskets.

What year is this engine?

See what a 427 piston part number calls for. I will bet it is different. 400's and higher factory engines used a lower compression piston to allow room for more air. With that said if that is case you will be hard on head gaskets if you have your foot in the throttle alot. I know from experience.

One thing about the 350 pistons they have a higher compression ratio than a 400 and higher HP factory engine. So you will be limited on the amount of air you can compress.

Hauling 90,000# most of the time with short runs with grade.

I have a 2007 Mack CHN 613 with a mack 460P, standard mack 10 speed trans, mack 4.17 rears, 11r24.5 rubber. New charge air cooler, egr value + cooler, new turbo. Just had the ecm reflashed for additional 100 HP. The truck runs 1300 rpm in 10th @ 55 mph or 1850 rpm in 9th. Most of the time we are running 55 mph.
