More pictures to follow of the B57. I do have paperwork from the Mack museum. The truck is a 1966 B57 with a 711 Mack Quadraplex, tri-drive. This is the same truck that was in post "a very solemn day April 28, 1966". We bought the truck from Mr. Dechant who at the time owned the last two or three serial numbered B-models. We found the truck in the Wheels of Time add that is in the post. He told us that a concrete company in Lorain, Ohio had purchased, I believe, the last five B-models produced. The truck did not have shutters because the trucks at the concrete plant were not run in the winter. The story I was told was that once November came around the owner of the concrete plant shut the trucks down for the year and went to Florida for the winter, and started up again in the Spring. Original miles are under 50,000. The original line sheet was still behind the seat when we purchased the truck. I believe the picture of Mr. Dechant's B-57 dump truck would be the second to last serial numbered B-model. Just have not had time in the last several years to do the restoration. I plan on restoring the truck to exactly the way she was built with the exception of maybe adding a stack. The truck is 100% original in this picture, with the exception of the frame being painted several years ago.
