  1. Great nice (warm) day....lots of entries....Enjoy, Kurt http://public.fotki.com/turbo590/truck-shows/watts-truck-center-/
  2. These are my custom models that are in 1/24th and 1/25th scale. I do (1) per year
  3. 11/18/2012 Guy's....just in time for the holidays I normally build 1/24th and 1/25th scale models..mostly MACK's....but here is a little project I just got done...that is now for sale. Any interest....please email me directly at kgmclucas@comcast.net Proper packaging will be used. Conrad 1/50th scale diecast MACK R-model, with a GESCHA 1/50th scale LEACH 2R rear packer body. Both diecast pieces came out of West Germany mid to late 70's. GESCHA later became (Conrad). I took both models and kit bashed them into one...unique piece (as shown)...original paint (chassis and hood/cab) was stripped..and repainted OEM MACK chassis black and OEM Green. All chrome was stripped and then Alclad polished aluminum and stainless steel paint (airbrushed) re-applied. Custom "scaled" engine and chassis/body decals made. Custom brass work done on the exhaust..photo-etched muffler shield made. Aluminum welding wire used for the bumper poles. Slight weathering done. Real "rubber" mudflaps. 400.00 ....S/H to the lower 48 states will be 12.00 (insured) Will ship internationally as well, additional S/H. Any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.....One of a kind model/conversation piece.
  4. 2011 ATCA Truck Show and, Mack Truck Plant tour pictures. Just got back from a very warm day in the sun...took pictures until the camera died...the cream of the cream...tons of old trucks and iron. Here they are...all 445 pictures...Enjoy http://public.fotki.com/turbo590/truck-shows/atca-truck-show-2011/ Kurt McLucas P.S. Got some shirts from our "host's" booth...which was setup real nice.
  5. From what I had heard...this Mack was one of few that landed in the Fresh Kills landfill in NY. I do frequent "Hank's" site for reference pictures...I do need to setup an account no doubt. I spent some of my younger years with a friend "stoking" the coal furnaces late at night to keep the plant warm and the paint bays...later on in life I bought 2 bodies from Theile when I owned my excavating business...this was prior to 1994..when issues started to arise. When at the auction..of course I heard of many stories..outside the ones I already heard...none so good...within 6 hours, what took years to obtain, was all gone, tools/equipment/building... Thank you to everyone for looking at the pictures....I think I was lucky to obtain them. Kurt McLucas
