So can anyone give me any information on this truck. The roof fairing looks a bit unusual as I have never seen a similar type on a Aeromax daycab. Also the fuel tank fairing on the square type look a bit different than on the round type. The foot hole rectangle shapes appear to be different. I plan to do a model of it.

The fastest way to search for trucks is to click the ideas tab, then search for ideas, newest, then click all categories, ground, then click all types, New development.

but I agree that new Iveco look great, when other manufacturers create extremly ugly trucks for Euro6 standards (Volvo , Renault) Iveco make very nice looking truck , i also like Daf and MAN but i think Iveco look better
I think all Euro trucks are ugly. They all look like refrigerator boxes. The Stralis is less ugly, but ugly nevertheless.
I understand Euro trucks are constrained by the regulations they operated under; length of overall rig, width of Euro roads, uniformity of the EU standards to name a few. Nevertheless, the boxy, short wheelbase and high cabover design has an awkward aesthetic.

I think new Scania's are among the least attractive of the Euro trucks. That raised roof just looks ugly to me. As far as the most attractive current Euro trucks to me, the Iveco Stralis Hi-Way is among the best.

I have this brochure.

The federal US weight limit is 80,000lbs. Many states allow 110,000lbs. There has been legislation offered in the US congress to raise the national limit to 97,000lbs. Many truck carriers would be happy with 150,000lbs limit. With the current condition of US roads, bridges and tunnels, I would suggest that they worry about fixing the national infrastructure first before they caterer to the trucking lobby.

Agreed. And people are always asking what the hell it is.
Euro trucks are generally odd looking, but interesting.

You're absolutely right. Scania is very popular in South America with a long time plant in Brazil. In fact the US and Canada are the only global regions where Scania is not represented. From Ireland to Moscow to Malaysia to South Africa, Scania is everywhere.
But the U.S. market Scanias did indeed have an intercooler. These were DSC11s, "C" meaning intercooled. The DSC/DTC engines of the time went up to 400 horsepower, and the V-8 was available up to 500hp..
Mind you, the USA and Canada are the number 1 truck markets in the world!

I took this photo in Indianapolis in the early 1990s. Indianapolis Mack was the Scania and Iveco dealership for central Indiana.
This unit worked for Hole-In-One Donuts. They hauled restaurant provisions from Indiana to Florida. They also owned another Scania. It was a straight truck van.
The driver of this tractor said he loved the ride. He really gushed about the synchromesh transmission, which was unavailable on any American truck. The one complaint he had was that it was sluggish up the mountains down I-75 and I-65 in Kentucky and Tennessee. Scania didn't offer an intercooler on it's American spec diesels. This might of boosted the horsepower on it's engines.
Scania still sells trucks in Mexico. Scanias can be scene along the boarder towns of Arizona and Texas and a few miles in to the USA.
