One of Chicago's oldest trucking companys went out of buisness 2 weeks ago. Brodreck Teaming was est. in 1890 and closed up after 119 years!!!

In Macks book Driven For a Century, There is a photo of an EQ six wheeler owned by Brodreck Teaming. Last year on E-bay I bought a photo of a early AC Mack with a narrow cab for hauling over lenght steel, that was one of Brodrecks trucks parked in front of their old building on Sheilds ave drown the street from Sox park.

Not many old companys left, end of an era!!!!!

Does any one no what it would cost to have a cranshaft cut and to replace the number one pushrod replaced on a 1989 mack E6 4 valve 350.

Motor is in a Superliner that is pretty cherry!! A freind ones the truck and says he would sell it to me for $3500.00

AC bulldog fans check out ebay.A guy in New Hampshire has an running unrestored AC that belonged to Dunn Coal Co. in Chicago. Still painted red and lettered Dunn. Looks the same as it did when it was retiered.

Dunn used AC & AB's in Chicago until the 1960s. Sure would be ashame if it got restored, has a lot of charecter in its condition.

That B-model is owned by Shaffer Towing out of Springfeild,IL. They have an entire fleet of B-model towtrucks with updated motors and running gear.

I have I 47' EH, 3 60' B-61's, 58' B-30 dump, 59' B-61 Integral sleeper, 52' A54,

57'B-61, 59' B-61 chassie, 73' RS700, & lastly a 85' U686ST.!!!!!!!

Saw that superliner at Waupun Wis. truck show. It has duel turbos on a E-9 . Awsome truck in person. Belive that it is out of the show me state of Mo. Owner sad that it cranks over a thousand horse power to the ground.

the owner told me that the superliner that did the full pull works a few days each week moving machines on his lowboy. His wife was also driving a superliner that looked simmilar to his, I belive he said her truck worked every day as a dump truck. there is a truck pull some time at the end of the month in belvedere if you are intrested.

Yea!!! Boss screwed me, he gave the 2nd & 3rd shift guys have the same fri off!!

So that left yours truely to cover fri and the wekend.

Truck pull was great. it was my first time and I managed a 220 foot pull or so. It almost was an all mack event except 3 petes and 2 kws and a international snuck in the back door. No boken axels so it was a good night

The red E9500 superdog from WI won the event  with a full pull!!!

I had the lowest HP and least amount of gears to use and was withing 10 feet of the avg pullers. i had to use 2nd gear as 3rd is to tall when the weight comes up on the tandems I might use 3rd next year just to see if the momentum will get me farther??

Hey Trent, yes hopeing on drivin the RS700. Will convoy with Al & Tommy from Woodstock, on early sat morning and come home sun afternoon.

This is a great show put on buy Danny Sheafor & family! Lots of Antique & working trucks, farm tractors, saw mill.

For those who bring trucks on sat night their is a pig roast and bon fire.

Richland Center Wis is west of Madison on RT. 14.

Their are some hotels in Richland Center. The White House Inn. Super 8.

I slap on both glad hands so that I have trailer brakes. We have to go down a private drive to the trailer lot and the employee parking lot is next to the drop lot.

So at shift change for the bakery, they fly up and down the drive at 50mph +, cutting us poor spotters off ( and flipping us off). Best to be safe than sorry!!!!

I spotted at RPS ( now FedEx Ground) in bedford park at 18. Had 60-70 doors and on many occasions I was the only one in the yard doing outs and ins!! It got rough,

the twoway radio was going non-stop!! (know wonder I have so much gray hair).

Might not make the union show! The 2nd & 3rd shift spotters are both off on Aug 5th, so I think I might be working a triple? Going into sat and I will get stuck covering sun too! We have 220 drivers and no one wants to come to Nabisco and spot trailers, You only have to move 100 trailers per shift, 53's w/ swing doors, no brakes, hump, hump!!! all day long!!!
