For Sale: 1956 Mack B475CF Semi-open cab pumper. This truck is number 31 of 33 built as part of an order for the Federal Government in 1956. This truck is powered by a 354 cid Chrysler Industrial Hemi engine and a 5-speed non-syncromesh manual transmission. The truck also has a Hale two stage fire pump rated at 750 GPM with a 300 gallon water tank and top mounted booster reel. I have researched the history of the truck as much as possible and have supporting paperwork from the Mack archives. The truck does need a total restoration, but the truck is mostly complete and has not been torn apart. The engine was last ran approximately 7 years ago before the truck was parked. The truck did sit outside exposed to the elements for some time, so there is rust in the cab area, most notably a small hole in the cab floor under the officer's seat. The body has some surface rust here and there, along with minor dents and dings from typical use. There also is some rust around the small rear compartment door above the back bumper. It was my intention to restore this truck and I did accumulate some NOS parts for the project which are also available for sale separately. The truck has been parked under a pavilion roof and wrapped with a large tarp for the past 5 years. This would be a perfect restoration candidate and a great parade truck due to the open cab feature and the rarity of this particular model.
