  1. You might want to send the heads to be checked when you have them off. Cracked heads is a common issue with these engines. The engine manual should be available at the dealer for not too much money. I got the full chassis manual for my CX for under $300.

    thanks for the info guys

  2. i need to do a head gasket on Aa 2000 ch with a 350 motoe e-7 is there any tricks or surprises that you guys can help me out with before i start the job thanks brian oh ya where can i get the torque specs for the head or buy a service manual cheap

  3. I run whatever the station has when I pull in. Sometimes its 100% dino, other times its a bio blend of some sort. If a station (such as flying j) has both, I buy whichever is cheaper...usually that's the bio. I figure if peanut oil was good enough for Rudy D. 110+ years ago, I'm not going to worry about using a bio diesel blend today.

well rob this is a good topic man but dont forget brother you and i use to run together and im thinking youll have that fuel burned out of the tank before you know it .........ya let it rip man ass, gas, or grass nobody rides for free just think of all the topsoil you and i have delivered all over the chicago area we never use to worry about fuel then ok later brother

  4. thank you for the link.

I'm glad George Bush was and is the president.

about all I can say right now.

Fabulouse link i hope nobody forgets what them bastards did to us my american flag flys 365 day a year on the house in rain , snow, sleet and sunshine

  5. What a bunch of morons, you could tell they had no money in it, the dozer looks to be new from the paint on the underside, a company i use to work for loss there butts on a big road job in Mexico because of the lack of skilled operators tearing there iron up or in the bottle all the time {but they want to come up here to take our jobs}

right on brother de37champ i totally agree you know how many bids i lost this year cause of unskilled labor under bid me and fddddd up the job hopefully some day people will open up there fnnnnn eyes

  6. Well Mccain is needing a running parner so you want me to call him?

my opinion who ever keeps letting these foreigners in this country is mostly for this blame all the bleeding heart liberals that say thats not right and you cant say that is what really fddddd up this country everybody allways forgets the basics about stuff for example what are fathers and grandfathers did years ago to make this country what it is next time you fly the flag on 4th of july or any other holiday think of that at my house and shop old glory flys high every day for the right reasons i feel for all the men and women who fought for this counrty over the years and are seeing now whats going on

  7. It's great to hear from you guys, it's nice to know whats going on in other parts of the country, I hope we all make a good living next year, bulldog man good luck hope you do well, briguy 520 I hear ya on the cheap labor it's something we all have to deal with and it's gonna realy hurt us in time.

thats right macks but it seems like no one really cares or maybe thats just in chicago area i lost a bid the other day by 20,000 the price diff was we are a union company and the others werent but if i ran guys that werent union the man would be all over me as to where the " foreiners " wont get hasseled its not right i hope it gets better before its too late

  8. We started out with a bang and kept pretty busy all summer long hauling asphalt down here in richmond, Indiana. Our break downs have been mild this year but I had one so called driver that destroy a clutch. We shut down for two months in the winter, so i have some time on my hands to work on my 1942 E model mack. Next year is looking pretty busy for us and were looking forward to it.

we also started out slow and then got busy no really major breakdowns we do sewer and water and excavating but as far as next year i dont think it will be as good all the good hearted americans can blame the illegals for the slow down in the construction trades remember cheap labor effects all of us in the end you get what you pay for does anybody agree let me know oh ya the chicago area in illinois

  9. fjh by putting a 350 turbo on the 300 isn't going to change the working range that much at all. were simply making the 300 breath a lil easier by doing this. The only downfault i see to doing this would be the cost of a new turbo.

rednblacken thanks for the info whats a new turbo cost and i dont know if it matters or not but the truck has a mack 7speed trans in it with 527 gears the chip costs 250.00 i think ill try that first thanks man brian

  10. if its got a 300 turbo on it now i would change it out sooner or later to at least a 350 turbo because no matter what else you do to the engine without a turbo swap your not going to be satisfied. A 300 with a 350 turbo with a lil fuel added to it will have no trouble keeping up with the 350's. I done that to one of my ol mechanical 300's and you would swear it was a 350 when u pulled a load with her. Seems like if you put the fuel to one without changing the turbo all you do is get all smoke and no go. Brain whats the numbers on your turbo ? I can hook you up with the right part number to go looking for if you can get me the numbers on yours too see what your already running. Every time i go to the parts house and tell them i need a 350 turbo i never get the right one unless i have that number with me. There must be several different ones for the 350's and i have only found one that will make it run. I will go rare the hood up and get that number off it if you want it.

ill try and get the # off the turbo but if you could please get me the # for the 350 turbo also the truck has a electronic pump so ill prob still have to get the chip for it also . will the oil line and hoses bolt right up without no mods ok thanks for the info

  11. i have a 99 rb 6whlr dump that i pull equipment dozers, hoes and so on im lookin to get some more out of it the truck has a 300 in someone told me i can put a turbo from a 350 or 400 on it is this true i would really apreciate the good advice guys thanks brian

thanks bud where can i buy this chip and how do you install it thanks again brian

  13. .....continue. I concurred with Glenn and thought my new air dryer was defective so I took it back and got another. The new one is kind of doing the same thing but not quite.

It charges up to about 125psi, the purge valve spits, then it ticks like a bomb. But the ticking is related to engine speed. The higher the rpm's the faster the ticking and it almost sounds like a machine gun. It will tick until the red needle (what tank is that???) drops to 100 psi, the ticking stops and the compressor kicks in again.

This is different form the old dryer (which was brand new) That one would tick and then just hiss air continueously. I did put a new unloader kit in the compressor (with the last air dryer) but I had a small problem with the gasket leaking under the cover. I took it off and sealed it with gasket sealer (I was desperate). I did notice the front piston seemed to be stuck in the hole. The rear one popped up when i took the cover off. This is the AD-SP dryer. Any more help would be appreciated. It is a 98 CH with a 427 by the way.

    Thanks in advance,

    Rob W.

hey maybe you should take it to pozzo before you spend anymore money than you have too thats what they get paid for johnny
