  1. Thank you for the input. I'm new to trucking and this transmission is hard to shift and jumps out of gear as well. Previous owner told me it has issues. Would a Fuller vs a Mack tranny (both in fair condition) be easier to shift and less trouble free?
  2. Thank you very much for the helpful tips and suggestions... I'll check it out further today.
  3. Hi, I have a 1996 Mack CL 700 logger (first truck) and I'm looking at replacing the Transmission (T2180). I know of a replacement T2180 that's available but someone told me that I could put in a Roadranger if I use a conversion plate. Any ideas or recomendations on this?
  4. Hi, I have a 1996 Mack CL700 logger (recently purchased) and today when I went to fuel up I discovered that although the left tank was empty as per my fuel gauge but the right tank was full. The fuel was balancing out before between theses two tanks and nothing has been changed (no valves closed that were previously open). Hmmm... any ideas anyone?

  6. Thank you everyone for your responses... it's been helpful!
  7. I thought that the CH613 had an 18 spd as well (same stick as mine with a range selector and splitter). Is there a way to know for sure off the VIN? (last 6 digits are 111319).
  8. I'm new to all this and recently bought a 1996 CL700 logger and have transmission (18 spd MaxiTorque) problems. It often won't go into 3/4 (7/8) or will pop out. I know of a wrecked 2000 CH613 (highway truck I believe) from which I can get a very reasonably priced transmission. Both sticks look the same but does anyone know if it would be an exact fit (just bolt it right in)? Also, would there be any computer issues? Thank you.
  9. Thank you gentlemen... for the feedback. I talked to someone today who owned my exact engine until recently and it sounds like the OEM filters are available here locally and quite reasonable so I'm looking to go that route. Thanks again!
  10. I just purchased a logger - 1996 Mack CL-700 E7 454 and am wondering what is the best primary air filter to use between a K&N Washable (part # 38-2032S?) or Napa Gold (6882?) or the OEM filters. Thank you.
