    I have a Mack truck R686 with E6-350HP sticker on the engine block. It is a 2V system. I expect the engine to be 4v but it is 2v system. Is it possible to change 4V cylinder head to 2V cylinder head. What are the effects on the engine.

    Check the holes on the rim if it is wider than normal. I had such case, it turned out to be wider holes on the rim.

    I have searched through the net and this noble forum to see the details of my 10 speed transmission but could not see one. How do I identify my transmission model. My truck is R686ST MODEL 1986. I also want to know the history of these 10 speed transmission -Mack 10 Speed Transmissions - D107, D1070. T2100, T2110B, T2110B. T310M, T310MLR 2100, TRD7250, TRDL-107, TRDL-1070, TRDL720-7220, TRDX720-7220, TRDXT720-7220.What is their differences Some one please help.

    i recently bought that macho guy on my profile pix. it is 1986 Mack R686ST with E6 350 hp engine. I discovered the owner did not maintain the ugly guy well. The steering pump went bad and the steering was stiff. I changed the power steering pump but it is gushing oil at the point of the arrow on the attached pix. There is no professional here to assist on practical way of fixing. Please gurus in the forum should assist. I guess it should be the seal. and I was told it is not a job for the amateur but I can do it with a detailed guide.

    Please help. I want books that will teach me the diffent parts of R and DM models of mack and their functions. I also need repair manuals as I intend to dive into mack repairs. Remember I know nothing about this truck buy I have high interest to learn and become professional.
