    Thanks fjh for the quick reply I'll check those gaskets it's sounds like sharp taps more metal sounding I guess almost like pinging that you would get from a petrol engine...I was thinking maybe the turbo itself might be on its way out too and it could be making a racket ... Really hard to pin point :/

    Hey guys just new hear but need some advice.... Have a ch Mack with 427 motor and am getting a tapping/ tappet noise under full load/boost it is not evident when just driving around unladen. Any ideas would be appreciated Cheers Cal
