  1. what are the weight you can carry inny with a tri axle dump.whne i go into indiana i see tri and quad. the tri axle can carry20 to 22 ton and the quads can carry23 to 24 ton.im sure some day the weight laws will change i heard some states are getting pissy over the bridge law

With the state wide permits that are on my trucks my tri-axle is good for 70,000 which is about 21.25 tons and my tandem is good for 65,000 which is about 18.75 tons. There are grandfather down state permits that allow a tri-axle to have a gross weight of 79,000 which gives most 24-25.5 tons. I have a friend with a very light International with an aluminum body that is legal at 27-27.5 if it will fit. You had to have permits before they started the state wide permits in order to get the grandfather rights and permits. That's just my understanding, so if someone knows if I'm right or not please let me know.

  2. i am not only jealous on those 3 nice trucks I like the garage as well!

Thank you! I couldn't imagine life or the business without the shop to be honest. That is only a little bit of it. We also keep our International mechanics truck, 2 F-350 utility body trucks, and an F-450 utility truck in there as well. We have a second small shop that we started out in with a 550 flat bed and a 350 pick up in too. Other then the equipment and the trailers, the only thing that is kept outside is my single axle dump which is unfortunate but I just don't have the space for it inside.

  3. Was taken in Hillburn last week. There is a definite story on this and why it's on a Conforti trailer. Hopefully one of the Conforti guys can give the details as I can only assume.

Saw this out there last week. Very impressive to see one on a trailer like that.
  4. 2007 CL-733 Cummins ISX. Washed it today and on a cruise afterwards the lightning bolt on the dash would come on then go off every couple of minutes. The truck ran fine, no power problems, gauges all worked with no problems. Only the exterior was washed, nothing inside got wet. I know it's vague but is there anyone that can tell me what's wrong? Or is there a way I can pin point what it wrong?

    Thanks,

    Victor

  5. Here is a 350D Deere with a swamp stick I saw in Bettendorf IA today. Was at a little gravel pit right on the Mississippi River.

I'm gonna guess that maybe they get their material from a barge and they use this machine to pull it out. Although it would

seem to have a small bucket for that.

With a boom that long they can't put a big bucket on it. When you're at full reach a large bucket will cause the machine to tip over. They could use it for unloading a barge. Around here they have a Hitachi with that size boom on it in Tilcon Haverstraw that they use to clean out the retention ponds for the quarry. It could possibly be used for that too.

  6. That RD must be the beater truck as its not as clean as their Petes. Does anybody know if this is an off shoot company to Montesano I posted down in Nanuet working? They seem to be very similar. I used to run into them a lot in Yonkers when we were working over that way in the Bronx and Scarsdale going back and forth to MT Vernon.

Morano is their own independent company. The Pete tri axles have triple lift pistons on the bodies. Morano was the company that did all the site work for the Provident Bank Baseball Park in Ramapo.
