OH MY GOD YOU DON'T KNOW HOW EXCITED I AM!!!!! Those are sweet!!!! Old style U's. Are these ones still around?
WOW! I'm with U Vinnie. Nice nice U's. Too bad they are lost into the world now.

Ok so there is hope! Still would hate to see any of them R's go to export or scrap. They are in waaaayyy too good of shape. Just loved Nashua.M.E for keeping it old school all these years!
-
Finally a U I can afford! Wait! It's sold! Damn it! LOL
-
I have been told that Nashua has folded which made me think this was one of their old rigs.
They sold all the U's years ago but had R's to this day. But at last tis a sad day one of the greats (and oldest) have now fallen too! :-( Wish I had big money. I'd scoop up a few R's from them. They are in pristene shape!

Superdog has a valid point. I do agree. I'm just a hopeless cause to try to save them all!
-
I'd also love to have my cake and eat it too! I think exporting is a travesty to the American trucking history and I HATE, YES HATE to see it shipped to another contry for a slimey profit just so foreigners can beat the s**t out of them and never EVER appreciate the trucks and the history. They have no clue what they're doing when it comes to the appreciation of them like we do here! When I see and old MAck for sale and it says above it "Export ready" etc... it makes me nautious and I wish I had Bill Gates money to start a Mack farm! LOL Well thats my input!

Don't see any markings but is that an ex- Nashua Motor Freight truck?
FYI: I noticed lately that I haven't seen Nashua Motor truck around lately. I went buy the terminal and there was only 3 cars there. It will be a very SAD day to see them fold. I hope not. They still ran mid 80's R models. All thier trucks! Not one newer one. Loved them for that!

None taken. This was the late 70s and early 80s and yes he would be a shame. A that time he was Proud to be apart of mack . How things have change. Not for the better.
Thats why I tell people I'm a huge fan of Macks up till mid 90's. Even some early 2000's. Beyond that .....Eh!

I live 40 min from there. I'm in So. NH. Sorry Vinnie its not what I'm looking for though. Still a nice piece.

My dad as a salesman for Mack used to hear "I can buy a White truck for 10,000.00 less than a Mack cost" to which he would reply " well White knows what there truck is worth" It was hard to sell Quality.....
No offence at all to your Father. But, I'd be embarased to be in sales for Mack right now! I'd feel like a foreign truck dealer with an American name plate. Please note no disrespect to your Dad.

no Mack are made like that anymore !
AMEN brother!!!!!

I have seen first hand what Volvo has done to Mack. We had 2 CH's a 92 and a 97 and love them. Great trucks. So my boss bought a new 2006 and it was in the shop at least 6-7 times for various problems. The last straw was when the rocker gurtles bolts loosened and snapped and bent the gurtles. Mack said that they knew about the problem but didn't notify anyone. NICE Volvo influence. In all it was because it was a Volvo designed Mack motor. He sold it back to the dealer at a lesser price just to be rid of it! Now we just get older trucks and rebuild them!

He built it out of different kits I think. I don't take of fence to that because your being serious. I'm thinking about buying a DM600 kit. Is there anywhere or anyone I can get a little U600 emblem from?
Do you know where I can get U model kits? If I can't have a real one yet (YET) I'll have to settle for a 1:24th size version! LOL

Here is a link to my Macks, all custom built by me over a few decades.
In a risk sounding like Vinnie,(no offence Vin) Where did you get that single axle U600?
-
Renault did a better job!

Volvo should bow out! There's a reason I call the new Macks Mack-a-Volvos! Totally destroying the good Mack name and reputation for thier own gain! Horrible what they have done! DOWN WITH VOLVO!!!!!!!!!!>

Sorry for the tease!

I'm going to keep trying. Anyway the Pete on the left is what I drive!
-
For some reason it wont let me show the Macks! I hate my computer!!!!

Perfect example of "speed kills" kids! Also it's not wrecked! It's "cosmeticaly challenged!"
