Thanks but I work for a big corporate company and they deal with P.O.'s So they wouldn't buy something from someone like him. If the harness is bad they would just buy another harness from Mack.

We have a 2011 that has had 3 harness's on it in 16 months. At one time ,we were ordering 2 at a time for each truck down because it was a 50/50 shot of it being bad. At our last Mack school we had a big discussion about wiring harness'es, They are built by hand in various 3 world countries and take lots of man hours ti make hence they have a high failure rate. Somebody in class said why dont they build them here in the US. Think what a $850 russian made harness would cost if made here by a $30 an hour union worker ? $3,000?
Thats nice. Yes there harness are pure crap!!

I will try that and see what happens. We just replaced the harness a couple of weeks ago. As we know of the crap harnesses they have.

Thanks for the info. I have the book with all the codes and possible causes in them and have done everything it says to do to the truck and the code still comes back.
-
And I have the correct part number sensor in it. Thanks
-
It is a MRU613

005603 is the serial number
-
I'm not sure which it is but it does have both the sensors. One mounted right on the intake and the other one mounted on the tube coming from the cooler.

It is 2 not 5 my bad. I ordered the sensor from the Mack dealer and with the vin. The part number for the sensor they sent us is 0281002743 Does that look right? The code is makeing the derate engine and the driver is crying a river over it. I called the Mack dealer that we deal with and talked to someone is service who was supose to look up something about after you replace the sensor the truck has to meet some kind of drive conduction or the code wont go away. Not sure about that as he never called me back> Go figure

Ill have to look the code up again this afternoon when the truck gets back in but if i remember right it is 128 105 5 I have the vcads/ptt software on my laptop. And have the code book and did what the code book says to do to troubelshoot the problem. Replace the sensor the harness and swapped in another known good ecm. Im thinking it is not electrical but not sure where to look. Yeah im not big on being a parts changer id rather find the problem and fix it right ive already put alot of money into this problem with the harness and sensor. Thanks

Anyone else this truck is killing us????
-
Thank you very much. if it would be better for him to call me let me know

Maybe two weeks ago, we know of this problem with the harness that is why we went ahead and changed it,not the first one we have changed. As we have a fleet of about 15 macks with the mp7

The harness has been changed.

I have a 2010 mack truck with a mp7 in it and i keep getting the 128 105 code for the intake temp sensor. Ive changed the sensor and the harness and swapped out the ecu for a known good one and the code still is there. It also surges at an idle. it also has an intermittent code .for number 6 injector mechanical system not responding. This is a big problem as the intake code derates the engine. Thanks for any help

Well finally got around to checking on the truck again. Unplug the sensor and it changes to 2. Clear the code and sometimes it comes right back and sometimes it has to be driven a little before the code comes back. I'm thinking maybe something to do with the egr??
