Looks good Mike. I hope you enjoy it for a long time and I'm glad it went to someone who treasures it.

Yup it's working good Carl. Next project is to get the lights on the passenger cars working. Everything is there but the bulbs.  But I'm gonna have a guy down in Lititz that does vintage electric work on this stuff convert them to led bulbs.  Cosmetically I'm not touching the train. Letting it show its age. Don't worry I have no intention of ever selling it.

Cool train Mike! My grandpa had an old o gauge Lionel steam loco, from the thirties was die cast tho. Had a tin tender with the whistle in it! I got a union Pacific Lionel diesel when I was six! Sold the diesel to pay a traffic ticket, dumb move!

This set is prewar 1932 vintage all metal and also has the whistle on the tender

  3. Did quite a bit of research before I made an offer on it. Didn't want to screw him on the price.  Cost me $12 bucks to have the mechanicals gone over and lubricated. Having a minor issue with it running on fast track instead of the tubular style. Runs good till it goes across a switch then goes into neutral. Easy solution though. Really pleased with it.

Yes, apparently- I had nothing to do with any of it, just -sadly, I might add- reporting what I saw on other websites.

    Tsk tsk yardo

Getting a price to have 3 sets of these made for my 1930's AC's. They are 30 tooth sprockets. Cut, centerless ground and heat treated. Give the AC a potential 50 m.p.h. top speed, but mainly will make local running easier on the unit.

Would any body have any interest? Higher quantity make the costs lower.    Paul

Paul, might have a fella up my way could maybe handle that job.  Can you give me specifics?
