    • Thank you gentlemen.   It was a no truck day.  We went to Seven Tubs near Wilkes Barre.   It was neat.  I'm going to this auction tomorrow to spend all my birthday money.  All cornbinders.  No Macks
    • Billy, my thought is, the "Odds and Ends" thread is designated "for non-truck related topics", including current events. (The "VIP Lounge" is also broad topic) BMT's general guidelines on posts are, no name-calling, personal insults or threats. And no profanity or vulgarity. Some of the posts can be high spirited at times, but in general BMT members are a high caliber group of people that contribute to the website being unparalleled in nature. We all need to remember that everyone has a right to their own opinion. And there's absolutely no point to getting high blood pressure over another person's thoughts (opinions). If you disagree with another person's opinion, ignore it and move on. A few things in life are still so simple and effortless. Some healthy discussions on current events and other in the "Odds and Ends" thread isn't a bad thing, if members express themselves reasonably. There are a lot of very intelligent people here that bring some legitimate viewpoints to the table. Even though opinions may conflict with each other at times, it doesn't mean they're without merit.
    •  It didn't happen because of education, skin color or nationality It was a large group of errors and inexperience on all sides the ended with this tragic event. Until the American media played up the relatives of the woman and the grooms family "demanding some accountability" it was a civilian and police officer issue with out and racial overtones. Certain media groups started the racial issues for probably nothing more than ratings. Media here seems to thrive on creating racial issues where normally there would not be any. Either way both sides are going to have to live with this issue for their entire lives.
    • First of all, you shove the teamsters in my face, along with a dozen more people here, including Dave Wild, for not being gung ho union Second, I do not sign a contract with the union,The union does not write my contracts. My legal draws up my contract and  I sign it with the property owner or the municipality Since when does a contract stipulate who I can hire as my employees.  The union does not have anything to do with my contracts,or my business. Show me  the Statute(s) in N.Y.S., Virginia or Maine am I required by law to allow the unions to dictate my agreements.

    • I agree we we should stick to trucks.A young lady ,white and Australian is killed in very sad and mysterious circumstances but it only provides an avenue for some people here to see it a race issue not the crime it might be.Stereotypes are been thrown about.I am black but Nigerian so I naturally hurt when generalizations are been made about race.I am college educated and right now seen my two kids through college so will feel bad to think that because of the color of my skin i am seen as been less a human than the next man, because of the unfortunate behavior of some one  who has the same skin color as me. While this happened in America those who have taken the position because she is white even though Australian are the same with me who is reacting this way because I am black even though Nigerian.BMT is a Worldwide Forum and we should be mindful of sensiblities. An old sexist  African Proverb says "When dry bones are mentioned old women get uncomfortable"

Ok, I'm sure there is a way to send a message direct from person to person so off topic conversation doesn't bog down an ongoing topic, someone gimme a hint as to how, or maybe what to look for to do so

KSB,received my car and driver last week, didn't  read the Vw b.s. yet, prefer road tests and nuts and bolts over corporate ethics, but I will read it just to stay informed! My wife's Corolla has the Takata air bags! The rascals sent me a letter warning to not use the r/f seat! They will pay for a but they are keeping that quiet of course was in one of my automotive publications!
