  • VIN (Last 6 digits) --
  • Description I bought This truck in Carson City,Nv.,flat-towed it to Sun Valley with a one ton truck and tow bar (I'll not do THAT again!),where it got a new Bulldog, grille put back in place, completely re-wired,aux. gas tank and electric fuel pump added, floor starter button changed to dash button, ait horn and air tank installed (compressor/onboard air in future)and city horn replaced,140 amp 1 wire alternator,Halogen headlights, all other lights made operational, fabricated front bumper, hoist, rear hitch and straight stack, tool box, floor carpeted, seat upholstered in horseblanket,CB added,Tach installed above windshield
  • Color Green,White,Rust
  • Mileage --
  • Odometer Unit Miles
  • Engine EN354 flathead gas six
  • Transmission 5 speed direct,3 speed under/direct/over Brownie
  • Suspension Factory Leaf, front and rear
  • Wheel Base 176"
  • Front Wheel Type Spoke Wheels
  • Rear Wheel Type Spoke Wheels
  • Front Tire Size 8.25-20;Soon to be 10.00R-20
  • Rear Tire Size 9.00-20;Soon to be 10.00R-20
  • Vehicle Weight OEM was 6,810 lbs,now approx 7,800
  • Application Currently has 5th wheel, used to move trailers as needed. Will probably be converted to approx.18 foot flatbed after job is done, and will pull a 20 foot bumper-pull med. duty flatbed/car hauler, unless more big trailers need to be moved. I'm working on a mounting system that will permit me to swap beds as needed in a day or less. (Flatbed, fifth wheel plate, gooseneck hitch, towing bed, possible service bed?)
  • Other Comments Other plans are brakes, several leaky seals replaced,Brownie shifter re-configured,new glass and wiper motor, bodywork to fix a nasty crease on left side that keeps the door from latching,HOPEFULLY find someone who can duplicate the door art on the drivers door on the passenger side,Mack mudflaps and hangers,Mack mirrors (maybe some used B model if I can find em for cheap),hoist re-configured to increase the reach and lifting capacity. I love driving this truck so much the only reasons I don't make it my Daily Driver is getting it all safety compliant(brake rebuild, new glass and doorglass regulators, new wiper set up,fixing some fairly bad trans. and axle leaks),and the cost of registration and insurance. (7 MPG doesn't do much for me either, but could be worse.) Might still happen though, down the road a bit. It's gonna have to earn its own improvements there, though. There's some more pics of it in my gallery.

I know this truck has been floating around this site for a while, but I guess this is a good place to throw some info about it down for you good folks. Hope you see something you didn't already read about it. If you have any questions about mods to my truck, just ask and I'll do a "Modification" post on it. I'm hoping to do one of these for my 1957 GMC 2 ton :thumb: ,but probably won't until I get its engine swapped this coming Spring. Of course I'll have a lot of other trucks going under the knife for various work, but they're all either too small :( or too new to qualify for this deal.

Enjoy!
