  1. not sure if you talking just on the old old stuff or not.... the splines for the yokes are different on the older one then newer(course vs fine) as well as the axle shaft.... a ch trunion stand will not fit in a r model... too wide,,, a 38000 has a different trunion shaft, has rubber bushing and a two piece spring seat,,, a 44000 has a one piece brass bushing seat..

unbolting the trunion stand from the frame, removing all necessary xmembers and rolling the entire axle spring trunion out of one truck and put into another would be the easiest, then tearing everything downn,,,,,,

do your parts guys a favor and write down the vin for the truck you take it out of..

that goes for any modification.... the only info parts guys have is what it left the factory with, unless you tell us..

  2. i understand what your saying..... bosch is the manufacturer of the pump, bosch is most likely the one who will not provide the gear as a replacement part cause of the extra gears they would have to make, i dont know why the hell they put a plastic gear on in the first place, just like the plasitic idler pully.. its a pretty stupid,,

  3. Ive been working a a mack granite the ac will work when the blend is on the defrost position only , the local mack dealer said there is another micro switch on the fan switch behind the hvac controls i couldnt find it am i missing something , truck does not have the diagnostic ac function either , i understand the blower needs to move air through evaporator so it doesnt freeze up but i just cant figure out why the ac wont work on vent or floor or any of the other posistions , any guidance would be appreciated , thanks

there are 2 actuators on the blend box that controls the air flow.. we replace a ton of the blend boxes at my dealership.. you can replace the actuator but might be better off replacing the blend box.
