  1. thanks , almost feel alittle quiltyfor what i got her for. but i would like her to be a diesel daily driver. i am keeping all original parts as all are belived to be original to truck, and swap in a way that can be back to the way it was, (no perminent disection). is going to be a working truck sometimes so swapping in power plant /gear box /overdrive seems like the way to go for me. want to find a matching vintage lowboy and small end dump for hauling John deere 160 hoe/ skidsteer and attachments, and 450 dozer

course not all at once lol

2 miles home from a quick stop at tavern/bottle shop, mrs. says:

your turbo has got a new wine that just started.

    you loose your air filter?

I KNOW, I'M JUST HEARING IT...!!

i think your turbo just shelled out.

I KNOW, I'LL STOP UP HERE AND CHECK IT OUT..!!

Dammit, she's either got to stay outta the shop or stay in it... damn oil roads, can't keep your tooth in nohow...

any one happen to see a banks air filter missing a truck ;)

  3. Question for all'Ya,

Is it reasonable to work one of these on a quite regular basis, some light duty, some heavier duty (hauling logs and light equipment)?

If or when they go down, is it near impossible to find parts? Or for the application does one find a good body and set it on newer 6-by running gear?

diesels rare or retty common in the E's, And which one's where the most common?

I do get DOT stopped on a rare occasion. An four/six wheel drive? Pretty neccessary for me.

An' don't be afraid of speakin' yer mind, I,m a younger buck, descent wrench, an like things point blank!

rather have that then dump pile a loot, only to have a bucket o' bolts can't do nothing with that just looks pretty.

    Thanks, Ben

  4. gentle men,

love the site, info and such. i like old iron period, no matter what it is, longs it isn't to common.. ( bored with the 50's,ford chevy thing) i found your site by way of thinking to of putting like say a 41 eht on a newer running gear, but i don,t have it in me to hack up something that ain't already. but also it is YOUR truck! i also need to modify for my truck to do me well in the log cabin/ sawmill business and i believe an ole MACK would fit in nisely. like the look of E's, A', and B's. I do need to upgrade from my 79 ford that i put a 7.3 in. I just need higher GVW's, 4x4 or 6x6, diesel, few brains so we can work on it, flatbed dump. i'd like to stick with mack but the configuration is a tough find in newer chasis and keeping the costs down somewhat hee HEE!!!! so the cummins power does sound a bit more inviting. as for myself i'm all ears as probly Rich is for options. please bear with me as i pick the noggins of the ol' timers!!!!!! (the eht is in PA with White gas motor and tranny!!!!)
