  1. Two new continental hrs2 tires were installed( against my will) but tire shop said a spin balance would take care of the shake. I was skeptical but I have driven for two days now empty and grossing up to 86k and it drives perfect!!! I think the problem with my old tires and the tires on the other truck is the liquid balance bags they put in the tires was two heavy. It sure seemed like a lot of liquid came out compared to the amount of weight that was added to my new tires!!

  2. Have a 01 CH 613 day cab,E-7,10 speed eaton, 12 k front, 36k rear(company truck), truck is used as a low-boy,we also have a sister truck used as an end dump we both have the problem with a front end shake at around 52 mph. It is worse when loaded.we have 11r22.5 continental steer tires.mine has the bags in them the other has been spun balanced.we have been playing with the toe trying to get around 1/16 toe in.we have checked the front ends for loose parts and are not finding anything so I'm just wondering if any body else has had this issue we are at a loss at this point!!

  3. What you have is a Maxicruse engine.

Strong torque and full horse power at a lower RPM,

CCRS have little less torque but are still strong

    These numbers are pre-ccrs

@ 1800 RPM you have 355 HP and 1405 lbs on torque

@ 1400 RPM you have 380 HP and 1425 lbs on torque

@ 1100 and 1200 RPMs 1560 lbs on torque,Which is the same as the 427, That is why it fells strong,,,,,Its all about the torque

Thanks for the info thats cool I generally try to short shift it!

  4. I run a 01 Mack CH613 day cab E-7 355/380,fuller 10speed,eaton rears with 4.11 ratio I believe.I pull a 05 Etnyer paver special low boy max loads grossing 90,000. My real question is when is the engine making 355 horsepower and when is it making 380 horsepower. What would be the total tourque and when I have tried to do searches and have not been able to come up with anything.I think the truck does ok for what it is but more power would be great. We have some older RD's with e-7 350's and the 355/380's are stronger for sure not alot but stronger.we also have some CH's with the 427 which are strongest but still I think they should run better as most loaded trucks seem to walk us with not much trouble. Thanks in advance!
